The Highway - The drive from Perth to Kununurra

The drive from Perth to Kununurra is fantastic. At this time of year the forest turns into a desert, the lush green plains turn into wide open beaches and around every corner the scenery changes dramatically. After having made the journey at the end of the dry season last year, the landscape was almost unrecognisable with so much new growth and greenery. I highly recommend trying it out around the end of the wet season.
I used my DJI Mavic Air 2 to capture some sights along the way, making sure to document the journey. From the road I found myself drawn to other road users and the wide open spaces that we are lucky to have in Western Australia.
The road is an interesting place, and all those who are on it have their own story to tell. Some are coming towards the end of their trip and others just beginning.

Thanks for the feedback Patrick. 1:04 is one of my favourite shots, driving through the desert outback to meet the tropical rains was amazing.
