Love the video. Which rigs and hook patterns do you consider to be the most difficult for the carp to deal with?
Thanks, hard to say at this moment. I have been experimenting with this for just a few months. But we have shortened our hair length and our hooks need to be extremely sharp now.

Notice is mostly balanced baits? The know what toppers are too, much better with a heavy bottom bait like the naturals. Brilliant video so much to learn guys cheers.
It just shows you how crafty carp are and how warey they are. Nice one for the video will keeps this in mind when I’m on the bank I try usually fish pva bag so they just pile in to a buffet and don’t see the hook and get nailed

Misschien eens een video maken over de effectiviteit van rigs waarbij de eerste meters ook plat op de bodem liggen. Verschillende rigs over een langere periode testen. Kd, ronnie, blow back, chod, hinged stiff, altijd al zeer benieuwd geweest naar wat nu de meest effectieve rig blijkt afgewogen tegen pick-up en catch ratio. Misschien dan ook eens variëren met aas van klein naar groot, uitgebalanceerd en niet uitgebalanceerd wat daar dan het effect van is. Ik ben jullie maar vast gaan volgen:)

Thnx, unfortunately there are no good commercial underwater cameras available for this purpose. We just use a gopro with all the disadvantages. And now we have a custom build camera.

Looking at this im going to try get my hook baits to mimick the freebies as those pop ups were not behaving naturally. Those carp knew the pop ups weren't natural. Makes me wonder how many times they actually get away with it
Agreed. If the fish aren't feeding heavily on beds of bait, a pop up can be great for sneaking a bite in winter for example, or on a short session where fish are moving around an area. Yes, carp are amazing at recognising and spooking off but if you can get your rigs right, pop ups can be really effective. I have had great success with a small kicker that helps turn the hook around immediately.
If you can get them feeding and competing on a bed of bait then bottom baits that match are winning. Just my two cents. Tight lines. 👍

People are saying good job but you don’t get any carp takes, and Your line is way tooo tight. Try fishing slack line, the fish are getting spooked. Nice clean bottom.... put on a solid bag and wafter

They simply learned... No wonder when some genius draws the out of water take pics and then release them back into water. I don't get why people do this. In that case the effect is same as no fishing at all
I was a coarse angler for 45 years. I can't fish now. There is a very simple reason for that. I can longer justify creating this level of fear and stress in an animal for my own pleasure. There comes a point when your love of fish out weighs the desire to catch them.
Never. Fishing is fishing and I release all the fish back in the water, safe and sound. Fishing 4 life.
