I have a meangraf sousmarine.....rock solid watch that is with me 24/7. I have other fancier watches: they are now in safe box. Advised as brand and the new CM10 caliber will be a gamechanger
Very honest review of this quite excellent watch. I have the MB in 39 and it’s a big improvement over the “standard” Superman. However, the crown is a mixed story. While impressive in the construction and solid feel (no wiggle at all when loose), the edges are on the sharp side and not pleasant when turning it without gloves. As for the lume, it looks OK but my Seiko Marinemaster “outshines” it far too easily. But overall, just minor inconveniences for a very good watch.
Attractive watch... I'd like to see it with a 4:00 crown maybe... seems like the crown protrudes a bit much. And a 3 link bracelet, presidential style on everything!
I’ll admit when I’m wrong, apparently I was wrong, I thought the superman looked stupid. But the blue one on the bracelet looks lovely… Such a nice dark blue and good colour match between dial and bezel. Nice angular case design. Still I’m no fan of this bezel lock but this I could get used too. It’s a missed opportunity tho, that they haven’t lumed the whole bezel. Thanks for the review!
Thank you for watching Kurt. Check out my Yema Navygraf Marine Nationale review. That has a sapphire bezel fully lumed with BGW9. Also it doesn't have the bezel lock. Regards, #WR4K
Great review. I got to handle the 41mm black dial versional a shop in Paris a few weeks ago. It's a beautiful watch. I currently have the 41mm Superman Heritage (date). I'll be selling my current watch to fund the purchase of the 41mm Black dialed 500
It’s a relative term, a Rolex can be a champagne watch for lemonade money, if it has excellent quality and is excellent value at the respective pricepoint. "Lemonade money" doesn’t mean cheap per se…
@@Skurtle I think about it differently. I differentiate "good value" from "lemonade money". to me a watch can be good value but it's absolute cost can keep it out of lemonade money territory. but, I would like to understand better how WR4K intends the terminology to be used
Thank you for watching Mondarin. "at what price point does a watch stop costing "lemonade" money?" All watches I have rated "champagne watch for lemonade money" are below 1500 Euro. They all meet my criteria of "being both excellent quality and excellent value at the respective price point". Therefore a 100, 500, 1000, 1500 Euro, etc price point piece could be a champagne watch for lemonade money if the aforementioned quality/value criteria is met. Regards, #WR4K
With a little homework, you realise Yema is widely known for its serious quality issues and poor customer service. Now a little on that new Yema 500. Yema appears to have chosen to have printed indices instead of applied> Applied looked a lot nicer and high end, but the indices were known to fall off the dial. In order to keep appearing exclusive, they now claim to be waterproof 500m. Who is going to test this, is this really an achievement or just numbers on a paper to keep appearing cool. It would be interesting to see a real test of that along with clear signs that Yema has improved its quality and customer service
There's more than a whiff of Rolex and Blancpain in this one. Not a bad thing at all. I have heard from several sources of numerous QC issues from Yema and also that their customer service and warranty process is abysmal
I was lucky to order early and the customer service was excellent. I’ve just received the watch and the finish is better than expected. I have the Mysterious Blue on FKM rubber. So far so good!

This is the second watch you have compelled me to purchase... The Navygraf steel and now the superman 500. You are a dangerous man.

Lovely vintage inspired watches

The one with steel bracelet is wonderful
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K
Does the blue dial version have a matt or gloss dial?
Matte. Regards, #WR4K
The Yema is a beautiful watch. I just don’t like the bezel clamp.
Just remove it.

Good resolution but really bad lighting to present the watches
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
Honestly, Yema are good only when they don't use their in-house movement which is a disappointment at this price range

Not surprising that their customer service is abysmal and it has QC issues … after all, it’s french!

Certainly Yema is trying but in the wrong direction, their customer service is dismal with quality matching their service … its a shame …
