    One of the biggest advantages this pedal has over a real drummer is that, for the pedal, you only have to punch the information in once

Or join your band then try to undermine you . Or get pissy at a gig because the bass player scores with two girls at once while he is on his own . Or steal your amp and lie about it .

    I love how Andy is really in to his guitar playing like the prototypical lead guitarist, yet his bass playing twin brother is a chill stoner type, happy to stay in the background while Andy shines like a diamond on that lead guitar. Meanwhile the younger third tiny brother is trapped in that tiny box, cranking out the beats like a boss.

    Lonely guitarist here, I've been using the trio plus from Digitech and using it has been totally rewarding, having a bass player and drums at your fingertips is great when you come up with an idea.
    I think Digitech is great! Haven't tried this Sdrum pedal as I have no need for it really. I have a bunch of songs I built up on the trio plus micro card it holds 12-songs, I just grab another card, feed it into the trio plus with a few seconds and I'm ready for another set of songs!

      already happened......it's called Digitech Trio. Actually, it does drums AND bass....I see the basic rudimentary tech here, but the Trio does even more. I just got a Trio Plus after randomly seeing one at a local shop (had never heard of it) and I looked it up while outside and went straight in and bought it for a good price. It does SO many different beats and styles....does bass from simple to complex.... has basic guitar effects....and the Trio Plus has even more styles plus a Looper etc. I have only played with it twice so far and I already LOVE it. A GREAT practice tool that also is a HUGE help as an Awesome songwriting tool......just so easy and it helps you get ideas out Fast and fleshed out. I LOVE it.....especially for the $189 I paid for it.....a STEAL!!!

    This SDrum will soon be obsolete. I will wait for the next version, the SDrum+. No looper in it (because there is already a jamsync port in this 1st version) but a SD-card reader, 6 parts (+"intro", "outro", "pre-chorus"), a sequencer and some other useful features.
    (... said with an ironic tone...)

    • @andrabian
      @andrabian 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Jam synch and an exterior looper solves it all. I'm using the non-plus Trio with the JamMan in line, and it gives me a higher level of freedom, than the Trio+ would.

  • @graphicartdude
    @graphicartdude 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This pedal looks intriguing. I’m just confused on a couple of things. Would someone mind answering a couple questions I have?
    1) I’m curious how a bridge section is made. Like the part near the end where the beat goes into steady 8th notes during Andy’s bridge section. I didn’t see him show how he programmed that part.
    2) Don’t you find it restricting having only 3 parts available per song? This surprises me considering the otherwise versatile nature of the pedal.
    I have a Beat Buddy but find it doesn’t provide me with the beats I’m wanting without having to search forever for the right drum loops and then having to organize them on my computer. It’s not conducive to spontaneous noodling on the guitar and needing a fitting beat right away.
    This SDrum seems to remedy this problem though I’m torn on the mentions above. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Amazing. Exactly the type of thing I've been looking for. Great demo. Thanks!
    Even if it's tuned to sound good on a guitar amp, I'm plugging it direct into a mixer with EQ. So, hopefully it sounds good. I've been impressed with the sound so far. It's my free drum track app on my Android that sounds terrible!

  • @chatter7653
    @chatter7653 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I sent back the newer Trio after being underwhelmed by it's drum sound quality and most especially it's lack of flexibility. As in, you could not export to MIDI. The single most powerful songwriting necessity to get the performance into your DAW for more precise and detailed editing and to replace the drum sound source with better sampled drums like EZ drummer, etc. Without that exporting ability , this pedal, as cool as a 'drum guide' for new tunes that it appears to be, they are leaving out a crucial bit of songwriting/recording feature that's a deal breaker again.

    it does have dedicated outputs with no drum sound, great, but has no bpm screen, that sucks, cause it makes it hard to sync with a looper, you have to tap tempo to match them, which can be a hassle. but the pedal is fun, love the way you can make them more complicated or not

    Love it DIGITECH!,But why no new software or hardware for the short lived IPB-10,like a plug for newer iPads and newer software like mentioned. I bought one STUPIDLY,and now dont know what to do,although the effects are ok.

    Does it drool out of both sides of its mouth like a drummer so I know stage is level?

    Thanks for the demo Andy. I haven't seen any information in relation to the usb connection of this pedal. I am gathering it will be to access the Digitech JamManager software, but what features will this give you? If you could add your own sampled drums/cymbals/percussion, that would be pretty cool, to build your own kit.

    Can you tap tempo/strum it midway through a beat to change the tempo on the fly, or is it static once you've pre-programmed the tempo?

    Sounds like a great unit but I'm waiting for their next generation with the built in looper, I got burned on the TRIO pedal by buying it too soon! C'mon Digitech we're waiting!

    Hello Andy! Consult, can you add the Digitech Trio and only use the bass in the Trio and the drum in the SDrum? Thank you!

    MIDI sync/inputs and loading on samples with an SD card would have been nice.
    Still, worth considering.

    Have they given you guys an estimated delivery date? I'm assuming if you wanted to play the standard two on the two surf beat, and it only plays fills naturally when you switch parts, you could in effect record your own fills at the end of the second bar with your strumming, in the learning stage. Does it seem like it would handle that? Thanks!

    That seems to be a must-have for me, thanks for this demo. :-) I read that it can learn and store 36 songs and that the parts (verse, bridge, chorus) can be switched on the fly.
    When I play live I use ten to twelve pedals and perform a step dance only to switch the sounds. So, can the SDRUM also learn when the chorus starts just by teaching it or must I always step on the switch for each new part of the song?
    And my second question: Is it possible to store two different tempi in verse and chorus within one single song?

    • @ProGuitarShopDemos
      @ProGuitarShopDemos  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 3 parts do not switch unless you tell them to with the Footswitch or FS3X.
