My brother is doing this exact setup on his 06 Eclipse. I must say that this video explains everything to do on the wiring 100%. Thanks for the video Jason Wills.
It covid quarentine time. I bought a manual 2006 Eclipse GT in mint condition... This has been my quarenteen project. Its frost white and I been blacking it out for days... My headlights and tail lights arrived today. And these two videos are just awesome... Thanks you've saved me probably 2 to 3 hours worth of fiddling, frustration, and troubleshooting..
I'm so glad this video was created. I have an '07 and I bought those same hid's before seeing this video. Was always in my intentions to do it on my own, so I figured what would be the steps to doing this. I literally just have to do exactly what you did and I will be set. Haha, I really appreciate it.
Good afternoon, 2025'ers! I purchased SPEC-D Tuning Projector Halo headlights about a week ago and installed them yesterday. As someone with little to no vehicle mechanical experience, and no power tools or anything, this installation took me a total sum of 10 hours. Taking off the bumper was the difficult part, about 9 hours of the issue. To take off the bumper, there are bolts at a super weird angle BEHIND the splash guard's in the wheel well. If you don't take off your wheels, you will have a field day trying to get a rachet in that tight space and trying to turn it is basically impossible! TIP: Turn your wheels per side to give yourself more room to work. After getting the bumper off, the installation of the headlight itself was easy as well as getting the halos to work. Putting the bumper back on was a struggle and I'm like pretty sure I didn't put them back in the same place, and I'm praying my FB (front bumper) doesn't fall off when I'm driving lol. Other than the entire days worth of struggle and frustration, the install saved me about $750 (quoted from a mechanic) and I learned a lot about my car. Totally worth all the work in the end! AND, they look fantastic! Truly an amazing sight in person, videos and photos do no justice. These headlights give the car it's own unique look, best described as, a sporty, modern, BMW style look and feel. NOTE: The Projector headlights, although look great, produce a significant less amount of light compared to the stock headlights. If you are buying headlights for brightness compared to style, these are not for you.
I just want to say thank you! I installed my JDM Halos yesterday. Removing the bumper was a bitch tho, but I got it done and got all of my lights working. I wll be installing my LED Tail lights now. again thanks for this video!!!
if your saying you only want the halos on and not the turn signals you can do that by running the "hot" wire for them into the cabin and hook them to a switch that you can install inside the cabin. your in-cabin fuse box has two 30amp fuses that are both constant power that you can plug an add-a-tap into and run the power for the halos to the switch from there. i hope that helps.
Have a question. So when it comes to installing the halos, on the driver side, the ground wire goes the to the green wire with the red tracer and the for the the white wire goes to the green wire and orange tracer which is the accessory mode correct?
Hi Jason, yes, I did a DRL delete and it is working now. I have also added in relays so that the halos and LEDs are powered directly from the battery instead of the middle wire. Thanks for your help.
how do i undo the wiring though, i bought an eclipse that has these headlights but the lights are destroyed and i wanna buy whole new ones but i don’t know how to undo the wiring out of the blinker harness because the people that owned it last put a hid ballast in there
they will work on any model that has these headlights, in 2009+ they added the bi xenon headlights as an optional accessory, if you have those headlights the wiring is completely different but if you have the same stock headlights as shown in this video they will work with the same installation!
i believe i answered the first question above, the DRL delete is strictly for HID installs, if you do not plan to do a HID kit then the DRL delete is not necessary, but in the future if you do switch over to HID make sure you do the delete!
Hey men, i just install my headligths on my 2007 eclipse, thank you very much for the video, now im trying to install the tail ligths and for some reason i cannot catch up the name of the "LED" connector you said i have to use in order to not have a problem later, i'll apreciated that info, once again thank you very much, you're a genious !!!!
What were the things you used to connect the wires?? it looked so easy I always cut and solder my wires and its a pain but I wanna use does things lot less mess for when I install the headlights
I didn't know what they were too, but I heard him say faintly "butt connectors" so I looked them up and sure enough that's what they're actually called. Look them up if you're still interested
yeah they defiantly could, although this video was made so you wouldn't have to spend the money on it! I understand if your don't feel comfortable though and you should have no issue having a shop do this, if you hold off were going to be offering some new and exciting features for the headlights very soon!
Hello I have a few questions. So the led bar has a white wire and a black wire, the halos are the same, but the two led bulbs have a white wire with a black tracer and a black wire. Do I connect the white wire with black tracer to the same wire that I connect the other two white wires to? Also, if I connect all three wires to the green wire with red tracer, there won't be any pressure since I'm connecting three lights to a wire that is designed only for the blinker?
Thanks for the video. Any reason why my passenger side halos and led lights aren't coming on (green wire with white tracer is what im using) ? I know its not the headlamp itself cause i connected and tested them by connecting it to the blinker wire instead as well and it flashes for everything.
this video is awesome and helps alot, but.....I have a 2009 gt with factory hids, which wires would I splice instead. or should I just not bother trying lol
I got a 2009 gt with factory HIDs too. Both of my headlights just went out and each headlight is 100 dollars. Fuck HIDs. I just want to convert them to regular halogen but I've been looking it up and it seems you can't on factory HIDs. Did you just replace your HIDs with more HIDs?
the wiring harness on the headlight side splits the high and low beam hot wires to two separate light housings. therefore giving you two separate lights!
on the ones in this video i took the fog housings out and used a rotozip to make the hole bigger to fit the new fog lights. i also custom fabbed so brackets to make them bolt into where the factory ones screw into.
hey man i just bought some of these the gloss back. its looks good but the halo ring is really dim could that be because you guys just change manufacturer ?
My headlights came in with only 4 vampire clips, but I wanna hook up the LED strip and the 2 single LED bulbs too, I'm assuming just cutting one of the wires in the middle, then connecting the other two and putting a cap and electric tape, and then wiring that main wire into the vampire clip with the turning indicator light will do it?
Yes just go to an auto part store and pick up another pack of those clips and hook the up as stated in the video. Tie them in the same way. No cutting if wires needed
Hey Jason, so I've had these headlights for about 5 months and the low beam on the right side decided to burn/short out. My question is if I need to buy a whole new light, or if there is a replacement bulb
Hey Jason, quick question, you know this car has a switch on the e-brake that activates the automatic daylights, are this still going to work the same? with the same connection set up u showed in the video?
Hey man, firstly, how or do you have to replace the bulbs in the aftermarket high and low beams? Secondly, if you want the LED lights and strip to work, do you splice them into the same wire as you do for the halos? Lastly, do I need to turn off the day time running lights in the ECU like you did in your other video before I do all this? Thank you sir!
Jason, did u buy the fog lights on the same website u bought the headlights? and do u use the same wires that are used to make the original fog lights work? Thank u
Hi Jason, I have a 2008 eclipse and I am about to place an order for these halo headlights. I watched your video and I never saw you install bulbs into the aftermarket headlights, were they included or did you install before making the video? Thanks
I have a question. This aftermarket assembly does aloud adjust the lights? I changed some years ago for something similar to yours... and It doesn't adjust the lights. Today I've noticed I lost the left side... so I want to replace for something I can adjust the higher of the lights. What do you recommend?
Quick question on the halo projectors headlights.. if i order them with the blue halo rings and the red demon eye, will they still be considered street legal? I'm still not completely sure how these lights work lol
i would recommend calling your local office for local street laws. Most of the time blue and red are illegal because those are emergency colors, but you can always hook them to a switch inside the cabin to have control of when they are on or off
I bought a 2006 f150 with dual projector halo LED headlights. The lows are HID bulbs and the highs are halogen bulbs. I want to convert to LED bulbs for high and low. Looking for bulbs, I'm directed to buy H13 bulbs but these are dual bulbs to run on a single light assembly. Can I remove the HID ballasts and install LEDS? What LED bulbs do I buy for separate high beam and separate low beam?
Debster they will not fit into the headlights. Just had mine at the shop to install leds, some rgb Bluetooth for the projectors and a pair for highs, they will not fit into the housing
i would to voltage tests on your wires, although it is possible that the halos are not function its more than likely and installation error, check your grounds as well as your leads, even fuses to make sure you didnt pop one.
What bulbs do we use to replace the low beam and high beam? I wanted these to toss in some H13 LED's. But I'm guessing since its a separate low and high beam its no longer H13 bulbs. Great video!
Nice video. I am considering doing this for my 2007. I see you connected the low and high beams as well as the directional and halo lights. What about the LED bar and the 3 LED lights? I want to get these working along with the DRL. Do you know how to connect these and get the DRL to work also?
Hey I need help on mine. My Drivers side halos/headlights work great but as for my passengers side they're a different story. I hooked up the wires correctly (Black to Black) and (White To Green/White) and only the main bulb comes on and not the halos at all....Can you try to trouble shoot the problem? could it be that i just need new halo rings? Plus these are BRAND NEW
currently installing now...quick question for you is there a rubber sleeve for the headlight in between the hood and the headlight (for rain etc.)??? that u need and if not any problems because of the rubber sleeve not there??
Hey Jason I have same year of car and I have same projector lights and the problem I'm having Is one bulb doesn't turn on sometimes it's almost like the car has to warm up then they work ??
Jason, I installed the halo headlights and only hooked up the halos... now if I wish to hook up the rest, can I just splice the halo ground wire and the white wire of the halos to hook up the LEDS and the strip? Thank you
Not really expecting a reply but I was wondering if the after market headlights you ordered came with the led bulbs or if you ordered them separate. ( I have halogen 09 eclipse)
I bought it a month ago and finally gets here last week. I installed it becasue the driver side halo ring and the LED light doesnt work. I following every step you did in the vedio. The passager side works totally fine. So I dont know what wenrt wrong. Also, How do you connect the doemon eyes? I assmuse the red and red/black wire is for the demon eye. Where do you connect to to make it work? Please Let me know. I want my head light to work!
+Jason Willis (AutoCity Jason) Can I replace the LED bulb for Headlights/highbeams with a new one that changes colors? And can I change out the Halos with color changing ones as well?
I been thinking about changing my headlight covers simply cause they are getting moisture build up and im sick of it. Just wondering if when u change the headlight covers will your beam adjustment still work after. Not sure its on all of them but mine has a dial u can point your lights up or down with. I dont want to change them if it will delete that option. Any chance u know?
@@4GEclipseHowToACI so it will work with the adjusters already installed stock in my car? I just want to be sure is all thank u for answering my question i sure appriciate it. Im not talking about the screw adjustments under the hood im talking bout the one on a knob next to my dimmer switch and fog light switch that raises and lowers the beam from my headlights to point higher or lower from inside my car in the drivers seat not the basic screw adjustments all headlight have under the hood obviously it has those.
I have another question buddy. Did ur 4g come with the bottom grill when u bought it ? Bcus I got mine used, and it doesnt hav the bottom grill, just curious. Thank you.
I need to change headlights assembly on the 2004 Mitsubishi endeavor, is it's the same process? Don't want to change wire, just headlights assembly cause they are so faded.
Do you have to aim them at all? Older vehicles I have had there was adjustments that I could make. Do eclipses have/require this or do they just kinda pop in and hit where they should?
Hey, i installed these lights (it only took 6 1/2 hours, due to trying to get the bolts that connect the bumper to the fender off) and my issue is that there isn't any room for the blinker socket to lock in. Like, theres no gap between the black back housing and the silver reflective bit, the two parts are flush up against each other so theres no room to put the 3 tabs on the blinker bulb socket down to turn and lock them into place. do I just have a defective set? or is there a way to fix this?
Where can we find replacements for the actual halo rings when they burn out or if I want a different color halo ring??? Is it possible to get rings where you can control the color?
in the video i state that you can hook those up the same way we hooked the rest up but this car was getting eyelids installed which cover those bulbs anyway.
Wait, by tieing in with the blinker wouldnt the halos blink when the blinkers turned on?? Ive never done any sort of wiring before so just want to clear this up
Jason Willis last question haha when attaching the butt connectors that come with the headlights, did you have to strip or cut the wire at all or does that steel plate inside it go through the wires rubber and connect once its crimped down?
this is because you have no done a DRL delete, a DRL delete is mandatory with HID installation. I have posted a link in the description to the DRL delete video
I see that you updated the video description to make it that it works only for 2006-2008. Do you know if they would work on a 2011 gs sport and could you send me a link to the instructions if they work for my year?
I drive an '07 GT, am I correct in believing that if I buy the lights from your site I won't need anything else and they'll be installable by myself the day they arrive?
Hi Jason, I purchased the replacement headlights with the HID-kit as well. Everything works great until the engine is cranked on. If I turn off the headlights just to show the halo, the headlight and halo flickers. I used to have an HID kit with my stock headlight assembly and there were no problems. So, in the meantime, until a solution is out there, I won't be showing off those halos on its own. Would you happen to know how to fix this?? Thanks.
Is this the same process for a 2011 gt? And If I have the eyelids on my headlights now will they stick on to the new halos or would I have to order new eyelids? Thanks
You lose me soon as you wire the halos...the blinker wire slides into the outside of the clamp but then the other wire touches no other wire inside the clamp?? Im so confused. Wish i could see better
you probably didn't listen to the entire video, in the video we stated that we skipped that step because the wiring is exactly the same and eyelids cover them anyway so no need to hook them up in this particular case
Hi there ,i recently got an gs 2007 and the top roof of the passenger side it leaks every time it rains . It is right on top of the small window on the passenger side. Any idea why? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
none of the 4g's in these videos have lower grills.... mine does not either.... not sure what you're seeing but they do not come factory with lower grilles. those are aftermarket if they have them
Sorry if a little a little late. Recently installed these headlights into my eclipse and the first night after installation everything worked perfect. The following day, the halos on both headlights stopped working but both interior bulbs still run fine. Wiring was done correctly after rechecking and fuses were recently replaced just to be safe. Wondering if someone knows a cause/solution to this situation? Is it possible the inverter box connected to the halos went bad after initial connection?
Same thing happened with me except my right side never actually worked only turned on for a second then off along with my left shutting off a day after and I still cannot figure out how to fix it
My brother is doing this exact setup on his 06 Eclipse. I must say that this video explains everything to do on the wiring 100%. Thanks for the video Jason Wills.

they come with the small LEDs in the top and the H! halogens for low and high beam
Jason, did u buy the fog lights on the same website u bought the headlights? and do u use the same wires that are used to make the original fog lights work? Thank u
How did you get the low beams to stay on when high beams are on?
this isn't an HID kit, but the bulbs for these headlight are H1, so if you buy an HID kit for this headlight you will want a H1 kit

did you get your demon eyes hooked up?? i’m doing mine now and i have no idea how to wire them in
+Jason Willis (AutoCity Jason) Can I replace the LED bulb for Headlights/highbeams with a new one that changes colors? And can I change out the Halos with color changing ones as well?
I been thinking about changing my headlight covers simply cause they are getting moisture build up and im sick of it. Just wondering if when u change the headlight covers will your beam adjustment still work after. Not sure its on all of them but mine has a dial u can point your lights up or down with. I dont want to change them if it will delete that option. Any chance u know?
Our aftermarket headlights do have adjustments to aim the beam. Eyelids do not interfere with the beam
@@4GEclipseHowToACI so it will work with the adjusters already installed stock in my car? I just want to be sure is all thank u for answering my question i sure appriciate it. Im not talking about the screw adjustments under the hood im talking bout the one on a knob next to my dimmer switch and fog light switch that raises and lowers the beam from my headlights to point higher or lower from inside my car in the drivers seat not the basic screw adjustments all headlight have under the hood obviously it has those.
you may have a bad ballast, or connection, as well as a bad battery. check ohms and volts with volt meter
I have another question buddy. Did ur 4g come with the bottom grill when u bought it ? Bcus I got mine used, and it doesnt hav the bottom grill, just curious. Thank you.
Out of the three sets of black and white wires, which ones are for the Halos? Thanks
the ones that come out of the rubber grommets on the bottom
Is the black housing illegal to have on your vehicle in Pennsylvania
I have an 09 with xenon headlights how do I wire the halo headlights to this car
Zeb Hollier this one is the factory hid right?
One question.. Where did you get your eyelids? I'm trying to get some black ones for my 07 Eclipse
The headlight kit comes with bulbs. Most people like the black housing projectors.
Hey, i installed these lights (it only took 6 1/2 hours, due to trying to get the bolts that connect the bumper to the fender off) and my issue is that there isn't any room for the blinker socket to lock in. Like, theres no gap between the black back housing and the silver reflective bit, the two parts are flush up against each other so theres no room to put the 3 tabs on the blinker bulb socket down to turn and lock them into place. do I just have a defective set? or is there a way to fix this?
if you want the LED's to work when in accessory mode (same as halos) connect them the same way as the halo's as shown :)
so you hook the LED wire to the accuracy wire right or can I hook to the halo wire?
Where can we find replacements for the actual halo rings when they burn out or if I want a different color halo ring??? Is it possible to get rings where you can control the color?
in the video i state that you can hook those up the same way we hooked the rest up but this car was getting eyelids installed which cover those bulbs anyway.
got my halos installed Jason lights look awesome Thanks ..
What type of bulb are the 2 small bulbs on the top mine went out and I need to replace them
looks really nice man, one question, can i use my hid xenon lights in this headlight assembly?
what you have on ur fog light? or did u remplace it for another ones ? looks cool
Is changing the light bulb the same as the stock headlight or is it different?
Halos are h1 bulbs
Jason, are the hid bulb sizes different from the stock headlight, from the aftermarket?
Do the wires come with the headlights as well when you purchase them??
If I'm doing all the accessories, do I twist all of the black wires together and white wires together?
i would recommend soldering them together rather than twisting.
Okay thank you
almost ready on the colored halos and demon eyes, the colors offered are going to be pink, purple, blue, red, green, orange, and yellow
Wait, by tieing in with the blinker wouldnt the halos blink when the blinkers turned on?? Ive never done any sort of wiring before so just want to clear this up
no tying in with the blinker here.
Jason Willis last question haha when attaching the butt connectors that come with the headlights, did you have to strip or cut the wire at all or does that steel plate inside it go through the wires rubber and connect once its crimped down?
it's supposed to cut through the rubber but if you want to be sure go ahead and strip them about a half inch then fold it over the uncut wire.
this is because you have no done a DRL delete, a DRL delete is mandatory with HID installation. I have posted a link in the description to the DRL delete video
I see that you updated the video description to make it that it works only for 2006-2008. Do you know if they would work on a 2011 gs sport and could you send me a link to the instructions if they work for my year?
Metal brackets around the lamps and bumper! You dont have to take the bumper off! Good luck! 3 hours for me and my buddy to replace the 2!
I drive an '07 GT, am I correct in believing that if I buy the lights from your site I won't need anything else and they'll be installable by myself the day they arrive?
i just got mine. am i gonna have to vampire clip everything to the blinker wires to make the led stuff work as well?
i am trying to install my new headlights now, but there are some wires on here that weren’t in your video. i’m not sure what the wires are for
If you ordered custom headlights with demon eyes those wires would be extra wires that you would hook to a switch in the cabin
09 gt convertible. Hid in it now and can't find any to replace them. Can I just put these in? Awesome videos man. Thanks
if you have factory HID's these are NOT a PNP application. You can install them but you'll need to splice your harness and hardwire them.
Thanks
how did u install the halo fog lights??? looks cool
You lose me soon as you wire the halos...the blinker wire slides into the outside of the clamp but then the other wire touches no other wire inside the clamp?? Im so confused. Wish i could see better
Jarrod McMillian agreed
you probably didn't listen to the entire video, in the video we stated that we skipped that step because the wiring is exactly the same and eyelids cover them anyway so no need to hook them up in this particular case
What are the fog light halos connected to for power? ACC?
Hi there ,i recently got an gs 2007 and the top roof of the passenger side it leaks every time it rains . It is right on top of the small window on the passenger side. Any idea why? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Your windows may need adjustment or your rubber draining system may need to be cleaned.
as stated in the video and in previous comments here, you hook them up the same way as the halo's
Do the halo turn on as DRL lights? Factory headlights low beam has a DRL function.
you can wire the halos how ever you want, the way we have them wired here turns them on on the first click of he headlights.
Also we disable the DRL's. there is a separate video that shows you how to do that.
none of the 4g's in these videos have lower grills.... mine does not either.... not sure what you're seeing but they do not come factory with lower grilles. those are aftermarket if they have them
Sorry if a little a little late.
Same thing happened with me except my right side never actually worked only turned on for a second then off along with my left shutting off a day after and I still cannot figure out how to fix it
same way you connect the halos if you want them on at the same time, i state this in the video :)
