A goth chick listening to Ice Cube diss to NWA love it😂
I saw it and instantly clicked. I’m here for it!
I don't think you know what goth means.
yeah she is @@SpielkindFR
@@SpielkindFRI think everyone knows what goth means
FACTS BRO
Rule number one, never diss the songwriter lol
Facts 💯🤣🤣
They've learned it on da worst way 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
100 Cube roasted them
One of the best diss tracks ever
For real. Top 3 diss tracks in no particular order:
No Vaseline
Ether
Hit em Up.
yup it's the most savage disses.. But this came back in a time when you could call people gay or talk ish about jews without being canceled. I loved NWA but Cube had a much better rap career than any of the others when you look at longevity.
@@travisspaulding2222SUPER FACTS hit em up would be #6 in my honest opinion but Dollaz and sense was more lethal for a top 3
@@DaRealShinjiMcCloudAgreed, Hit 'Em Up is mad overrated. But Ether & No Vaseline are definitely the 2 best diss tracks of All-Time!💯
@@travisspaulding2222
Real Muthafuckin G's by EZ E
The N.W.A. was done after this they never came back after diss track. Ice Cube bodied an entire group with this one track.
No.....
They were splitting up before this song came out. This song affected nothing. In fact, later members of NWA such as Dre went on to become way richer and famouser than Cube.
All in all, this song isn't even decent.
@@thereeldeal7858facts
@@thereeldeal7858yes..
Not really eazy, yella, dre ren were still a group back then but Vaseline gave it the ultimate blow. Dre becoming richer doesn't take anything from the diss ure just looking for a cop out.
All in all its much more decent then your dre meatiriding butt would Like to admit
@@thereeldeal7858 That comment is laced with a bit of hater lol. This track is consistently listed in the top 3 diss tracks of all time.
Dre is famous for the Beats brand name and producing for Em and Snoop. Cube is famous for Hollywood movies, rapping and now his basketball league. Both equally respectable they just took different paths to fame and fortune.
Not long after this dre went to death row I feel that was the best idea
Ice Cube’s solo albums in the early 90s Death Certificate and The Predator are hardcore af, definitely mellowed quite a lot since lol
Did you not like Amerikkka's most wanted?
Mellowed in what way? 😂 did u not hear the mount westmore album lol
The word you’re looking for is he sold out
have you seen are we there yet? LOL
I'm pretty sure ''it was a good day" is on The Predator. Not that hardcore to me
Ice Cube spitting fire and true facts.
Lilly Jane really understood the assignment! Your interpretation of that intro was spot on and was really the strength of that diss track!
This was Ice Cube's diss track in response to the N.W.A. track '100 miles and running' ... Ice Cube didn't say anything at his former group on his first solo album and was miffed when they dissed him.
The issue w/ N.W.A. was that Eazy-E was the guy who put his money into the group and found success making his imprint Ruthless Records... In his mind, he was getting his due back for his investment once the group was successful.
Jerry Heller was a manager from the 70's but his roster of artists were running dry in the 80's cos they were not making money... He saw N.W.A. as an opportunity to promote music that he felt would be as 'important as the birth of rock n roll' ... and he was right. He helped Eazy-E get Ruthless a major distribution and N.W.A. a foot in the music industry.
The problem was that Jerry Heller, like most 70's (and 80's) managers, ran his business in rather unfair terms to the artists - they treated band and groups like paid employees while taking a lion's share of the profits they made... It was what turned artists against them and many bands found themselves broke because managers and labels had ripped them off... And like most managers, Heller gravitated towards Eazy-E (since he was the guy funding N.W.A. and ran the business side) and made sure that he was getting paid the most while the others were just getting a paycheck. Heller also manipulated the members of N.W.A. to keep control of the group to his advantage; another common tactic used by managers.
The way Jerry Heller looked at N.W.A. was that everyone was a replaceable employee - and that was not the case... Dr. Dre and Ice Cube were the most valuable talent in the group... Heller drew up standard contracts for N.W.A. members that gave them a huge ca$h advance and they signed willingly. But Ice Cube was suspicious and discovered that the advance was a small fraction of the money N.W.A. was making ($10K for each member out of 1 Million $$$ profit was rather lop-sided) ... Ice Cube refused to sign and demanded a fair share... Eazy-E and Jerry Heller refused; he would sign the contract or he was out... Ice Cube bailed and got his own record contract and solo album out.
With Ice Cube having a hit solo album, N.W.A. were seething w/ jealousy and disapproval... and that fueled the animosity. They dissed Ice Cube... so, he responded w/ 'No vaseline' on his 2nd solo album.
By 1991, Dr. Dre discovered that he was not getting paid fairly for his contributions and Ice Cube was right - the contract he had signed was financially unfair... He demanded Eazy-E give him a better contract but Eazy refused. Dr. Dre stopped working and made plans to bail himself and form a new label but his contract w/ Ruthless Records was in the way.... That was when Suge Knight offered to handle his predicament - Suge allegedly went to Eazy-E and got violent w/ him to sign a contractual release for Dr. Dre...
Without Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, there was no N.W.A. and by 1993, Ruthless Records was in decline as Ice Cube was a successful solo rapper and Dr. Dre launched Death Row records w/ Suge Knight and made Million$... while Eazy-E was downsizing fast.
According to Eazy's wife Tomika, she discovered that as Ruthless Records was in financial decline, Jerry Heller was taking money to profit his bottom line and she claimed that Eazy-E finally let Heller go... N.W.A. talked about reconciling without Heller involved and making a 3rd album by 1995 but Eazy-E died from AIDS soon after.
Thank you that clears things up
Partly an answer to that, but also to "A Message to B.A." from EFIL$ZAGGIN
The diss from NWA was actually Real Ni**az
Miffed LOL
Lol…this is the greatest diss track of all time. Cube destroyed a whole crew. Called out names.
Love the way she started grooving to the beat. Her facial expressions were priceless.
She loves it ... She can't even deny... 😊
I remember putting this on a loop the first time I heard it. The whole theater lost their minds when we were watching Straight Outta Compton and this scene popped up
I am down for this whole early 90s west coast exploration.
There's a lot of songs from the 90's that will blow your mind
Cube was savage as FxxK! There's good reason why this track was so funny. Cube is an incredible lyricist. Cube is a modern day poet and 2Pac was also an incredible poet. They both paint the scene so you can picture what is happening with or without music videos.
Im loving this generation starting to acknowledge the hip hop from the golden era. Major salute
You've just come up in my TH-cam algorithm and your reaction was interesting. No Vaseline was so savage back in the day. I was 17 when he dropped that one. I don't know if you've seen/heard Tupac's 'Hit 'em Up' yet, but that's another great Diss track.
Awesome pick Lily top 3 disses of all time great vid!!!!💯💯😁👏
I haven't heard this in years! Thanks, homegirl! ✌️☝️🫶
This diss track made a very important lesson. Don’t diss the guy who writes all the songs for the group
Ice Cube went hard on this, spitting out some venom. Cube is one of my absolute favourite rappers as he could really hit hard, especially on his early albums with my favourite being The Predator from 1992 which topped the Billboard, Hip Hop and R&B charts all at the same time. He got screwed when in N.W.A. and he let them know about it good and proper with this diss track. One thing about this Ice Cube, he doesn't melt LOL
The predator was straight murder
I like these videos of tha new kids listening to old stuff, lol. Glad thery are digging in tha crates to find good quality music.
Dopeman by NWA is a must listen. Ice Cube and Eazy E basically breaking down what the crack era was in a song 🔥
I wonder who the 'Strawberry' character is, if she was based on a real person or just how they saw the crackhoes of the day?
@@ctakitimuStrawberry was the neighborhood’s hoe. She is real.
@@ctakitimu just how they saw the crackhoes, not based on a real person.
This is the best Lilly reaction ever!
Listen to ice cube it was a good day or Tupac hit em up won’t be disappointed
Good job again. Glad you enjoye your work.
I've been waiting for this one.
you don’t know how long i’ve been waiting for you to react to this song, thank you 💯
here🔥🔥🔥
Cube smashed n. W. A. Like HARD
There are some HARD diss tracks out there. This one is in the class above those.
@@TJF83 this ain't no diss track this is nuclear warfare
Love your reactions my friend ❤️💯
Love your reactions
Ice Cube's catalog is phenomenal! He has so many tracks that are bangers! Many of which are much too graphic to have ever been played mainstream!
Hell Yeah, one of the greatest siss tracks of all time!
yes! i love you!
My all time favorite ice cube is When Will They Shoot, very political and racial but yet lyrics are awesome and not to mention the beat in the background. It's Queen's we will rock you. ❤❤❤ hopefully you react to this, rarely does anyone react to it. Love your channel and reactions.
Ice Cube is a ledged that can make you feel his words in every track he wrote. E-40 is another legendary lyricist who did the same thing in his story telling.
Loved sharing this with a newbie to No Vaseline!!! It's been on my workout lifting playlist for 30 plus years...only gets better!!! Enjoy and thanks for sharing!!!
This was such a fun time in hip hop.
This is a song I play regularly. Not for kicks, but because it is a genuinely good song.
i actualy love this sort of thing the reaction is the best keep it up
"Its on" by Eazy
It’s on by Eazy-E is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard
I remember thinking what made this even more brutal was that this was on his SECOND album. He kept his cool on the first one, but then they should have left him alone, but instead NWA dissed him on their first album without him. NWA weren't just the subject of this diss track, but they asked for it, when they should have just kept thier mouths shut.
The Roots line with MC Ren went over your head but its basically a slave innuendo
Also the part "on a permanent vacation, off the massa plantation
Who's head did it go over? I'm a white guy from Scotland and I got that Kunta Kinte line
@@ClitmasterDave the goth chick, she missed the meaning.
That was the best line in the song. “I gotta whip for ya Toby” 😂😂😂 Lila me everytime
Are young people still educated about the social conflicts between House slaves vs Field slaves? I also kinda wondered if she understood that the House N**** line was also a slavery reference.
Very nice reaction!👍
First time watching one of your videos. Im at an age where I was in Middle School when NWA jumped off the porch. Anyways, I loved your reaction and how you responded to that beat!
Gotta LOVE ICE CUBE!!!! Just so VICIOUS.
I love yer diss reactions..Yer always on POINT
Hit em up
Ice Cube wrote this in 70 minutes when he was really pissed off

U killin that shirt lol but ya, one of the greatest disses ever
😂 I love these this is so cute play your reactions are priceless. You can actually remind your parents how messed up they were😂😂😂
So cute with the “white girl head bop”. 🥰
Love her reactions.
Wow what a great assortment of genres you have!! Just found your channel.
One of my favorite old school rap songs that I feel like doesn’t get enough love is “I tried” by the Geto Boys
I love your reaction, response ❤

Awesome video.
Awesome overview
Glad to see your listening to reel music ..
Diss to NWA the hardest diss track ever… *very creative* why goth chick listening to this tight shXt
This was always playing in my WALKMAN lol🥰🥰
hit em up 2pac
You definitely need to check out more NWA! If you are trying to continue with Dre and Snoop though you need to checkout “The Next Episode” and “Nuthin’ but a G thang”. Both songs are with them and are great!
It’s funny to watch you revisit beef and music that I was outside for. Cube smoked them in one song. I love it.
All of those snippets of songs in the intro were songs he wrote and performed on with NWA. It was his way of listing the receipts of how much of NWA's success was reliant on him. Also, you could make a case that Ice Cube's No Vaseline was the greatest diss record in Rap History.
Hell yes love me some ice cube funny enough the only diss track I know of the no one ever responded to
Lmao are we there yet was Hollywood... this is the Real CUBE 😂
It’s awesome how every little secret is coming to light
They are open secrets
saw Ice Cube in concert last month.. best show i’ve ever seen. a pissed off Cube = great lyrics
Ice cubes first three albums are classics and savage as fuck, and public enemy’s bomb squad making his beats and producing was mind blowing
Marilyn's employee says: You looked confused when Cube brought up Kunta Kinte and Toby. It's from the show called Roots. About slavery, Kunta Kinte was the main character, whose new owner named him Toby.
I love all your reacts brahh thankyou so much
O.G. !
Amazing dis track love ice cube
Almost 40 yrs later and No Vaseline still cuts to the bone
Rap isn't my bag, but this shit was fucking great. This man literally crushed their souls here. Respect.
You right I lived through it cube was the man at the time
I respect that you did your homework before going in. Salute 🫡

Now just imagine being in High School when this came out. Minds were blown in the hallways of my school. 😂😂😂😂
The best dis track ever closely followed by 2 Pac hit em up
❤❤❤
Yeah lil mama…..that’s real shit…..Ice cube forever one of the REALEST ALIVE….PERIOD 💪🏿💪🏿
Cube destroyed them so badly they didn't even bother responding and just faded into obscurity.
And Cube said he had a No Vaseline Pt 2 ready. Lol
Love this song an gangsta rap made me do it both by cube
This and Tupac Hit 'Em is the best diss tracks ever.
Another great reaction video. I know you like the emotionally songs! Do me a favor and react to "MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA - THE SILENCE Live " This one will make you suffer. Stay safe Lilly
Dis rap was huge, these guys pioneered it. It's like Wrestling, the bigger the shock the more the crowd loves it. Ain't no real beef, it's just business.
no it was real beef between them. They sorta squashed the beef later on but they were like brothers and ended up hating each other.
I saw them in concert in 91 or 92. Damn I’m old😂😂😂
your reaction to where cube started in the industry and how he talked back then is the same as my moms when she found out ice-t from her law n order show was a rapper
You should listen to Ice Cubes '' it was a good day'' that's one of my favorites
I remember when this came out still to this day this is the best diss track of all time
One of best RAP songs ever.
Cube is and always will be a genius 😂 best diss track
Saw Ice Cube live recently, one of the best diss tracks in its time.
Best diss 💯
I like the fact she branchin out wit the music. Helps her understand our culture a lil bit more
She was so lost when he mentions Kunta Kinte and gotta whip for you Toby! When that line hit, it was deep!
