You could also jazz this up with foil or glitter washi tape to get a similar effect ✨

The way it looks from cans is neat, and lasts much longer. We have a hanging piece that has multiple ones connected by wires, so it's a kind of wind decor item.
I will try with the paper thanks...methinks aluminum and me would result in a bloody mess LOL...

I wonder how cool it would look if you poked little fairy lights in from the core so it cast shadows as it spun! Would be so pretty with multicolored lights and you could put the battery pack inside!

I really like the way this decorative twirling tree moves by itself but I wish that you had put some colored paper or possibly thin foil rapping paper on the vertical spines! Love the idea and will try to make some!
