I can't think of a single other rider who could keep my attention for 30 minutes. I love the old haunt tour, so great to see you easily conquer the old dream spots with such relative ease!
Dude I can’t stop watching your videos you’re absolutely insane bro ! You should a trials video with Sam pilgrim . I know you’re way better at trials then Sam but maybe you can teach him some new tricks . 👍
Look in SAMs and Ali's back catalogues they have ridden together a few times can't think off hand of the name of the park they went but it has a load of trails features ,cable drums and logs etc all set up for trails.
its very very rare that one gets to time travel and relive the fav childhood spots. My spots are almost all gone now, courtesy of urban development. Thank you for bringing us along.
YES ALI!!! Matt n Eddie tongue where brilliant, wasnt that canal gap in Mbuk? trials went boom in 98 and I remember the pashley trials bike with union Jack frontage, which did you like Blue or Ivory? Good times mate I wish I stuck with trials. I started going pubs, had kids n grew up. Good times though looking for drops n sections out from 8am till way past dark. Keep riding Ali
For us people who enjoy riding, is awesome to see your skill on display. For the regular folk, they think you're a super human. I love too see people's reaction :D
Maaate makes my heart warm this, bloody love Hebden, grew up there, then joined the Army 99-15 then MD'd, used to love coming back home and dropping bag off behind the bar in the Railway and then Seshing on.... Loving seeing Hebden.. Haha absolute leg burner the buttress
Man, you describing your old spots makes me nostalgic af, like, literally, my first big thing was getting over a bench. I still remember doing a back hop on the sitting part, and than side hopping over the higher part... man memories with my 2006 tucana will never die
Just stumbled across your videos and thought i recognised you, we went to college together! Me you and Nick used to hang out and watch you do some ridiculous tricks at college. glad to see you've kept it up and are doing so well. Good to see you representing good old Hebden too!
This brings back memories. One of my dad's ex's lived in Hebden in one of the flats up the road from that Co-op. This was 16 years ago. Good times. Well, apart from the time my older brother stumbled across a "den" along a trail near there and stepped on a plank of wood with a big nail sticking out of it. That wasn't such a good time.
Moved my pelvis out of place done nerve damage and plate damage only 3 weeks after getting back after my knee injury. So your videos will be a massive help once again cheers Ali
I remember driving to Tod & seeing you practice at the bottom of your house (where the railway fence has wrecked it), and nearly crashing because I'd never really seen anyone good at trials. Just blew my mind!
This is such a great video. The expressions from the public are so entertaining to watch and you come across so well. So does Hebden Bridge cone to think of it! I appreciated you being honest about your feelings about riding the skate park, despite how competent you are.
Best one in a while!, Reminds me of the older street ride vlogs, would have loved to see a few more tries of that drop gap you said you struggled with. I have got to find more time to go on some street rides agian!
I went to Hebden Bridge a few months ago with my mrs and daughter on our bikes. with the intention of us riding back to Manchester along the canal. The girls couldn't handle it on their bikes and caught the train home at the next station. I made it back in one piece though. Knackered. The canal path was a mess with parts of it closed. Once i got passed Smithy Bridge, it was down hill all the way!
ahhh Hebden bommies were great, black peas and parkin with an excellent firework display, them were the day's. Best wishes from NZ, keep up the great work.
Thanks Ali !! Love it. I only live about 10 miles from my childhood home. I make a few trips a year just to ride my old obstacles that I grew up on. Great vid !!
I'm currently right in the stepest part of my progression and it's such a nice feeling when things were unthinkable a year ago are easy going right now 😅 Trials progression can be slow but it's soo rewarding if it finally works 😊 Great lines ali😊 those will definitely be unthinkable for me for the foreseeable future 😅
Great to see you riding near my home town! I’m from Halifax so obviously know Hebden very well! I live in Abu Dhabi now and still love riding trials...when the heat permits here of course! 🥵 carry on sending dude, love the videos! If you ever want to come out and ride Abu Dhabi give me a shout! 🤙🏼
Loved this video! Made me very nostalgic about all the spots me and my mates used to ride in my old home town. Nothing takes me back like an old shin bashing too!! I still bare the scars!!
My extended family is from Hebden and always a place I've felt a connected to through visiting them throughout my life, if not knowing it well myself. I'm just getting into MTB and stumbled across this - really appreciated the commentary and must've been a great experience for you to be able to revisit with all you've learnt. Nice one Ali.
Great, watchable stuff. Thought it was funny when you @4:30 said how it had changed so much. No timber and more weeds is what i saw. I live in central London and there are skyscrapers now where there used to be fields ;)
Great video Ali, really nice of you show us all where you grew up and your experiences as child growing up. It’s no wonder your a talented trials rider with all those places to ride on. Wish I some of your skills🙂
Hi Ali C, what a wholesome video! Great to see where you grew up and that you were able to fulfil some of your riding goals during this video. You surely blew my mind with some moves, like going over and back on that funny bench (near end of video) and then, front wheel over it all! 💪😼 Thank you for making this video! Happy & safe traveling onwards!
So strange seeing you ride this stuff. Lived in Todmorden/Hebden Bridge my whole life. Seen you out a few times too. A few times on the brakeless Hex and on the first red Hex. Used to ride mtb with Matt Greenwood too. He was telling me stories of when you were growing up together 😂 glad you stopped by mate 😊👍
@@RideBikes_WalkplacesAyup dude 🤙I don't have an mtb anymore I'm afraid mate. Stopped riding years ago as a most people I rode with stopped. Now I only have a little onza comp for playing around on which hardly gets used. I've often thought about getting another rig as my sister and her fella are well into it now! I need to save for buying a house though. Perks of growing up eh? 😑😒
Great video! Revisiting the perspective of your youth is always funny. "When we were little there was this HUGE hill we would bomb done!" (Present day) "Yeah, that really isn't very big now..." Of course, in your case - the hop up to a 4 ft. wall is still 4ft!!
Been watching you now for 3+ years Ali, I live 400 yards from your childhood house. Blown away with the gaps I've just watched. 👍👍
Same here mate. You ride locally? Mtb?
What a stalker
@@baboowam23 bit of a weird thing to say. There's nothing stalker like about his comment.
I can't think of a single other rider who could keep my attention for 30 minutes. I love the old haunt tour, so great to see you easily conquer the old dream spots with such relative ease!
This is my local spot too, feels weird watching you ride here
Congrats to 100.000 subs! Very well deserved!
Yes, he deserves a million.

Love a bit of Hebden. Some mega trails round that way too.

24:45 people in the back cheering for that awesome move
that girls reaction is priceless. Pretty much my reaction when i saw trials the first time.

I love seeing you ride skate parks and impressing all the kids, who knows how many future riders you might make!

The dude clapping behind when you made the bench gaps on the front wheel 👌
Congrats on 100k and the plauge I've been watching for like nearly 4 years now you have grown alot
I remember driving to Tod & seeing you practice at the bottom of your house (where the railway fence has wrecked it), and nearly crashing because I'd never really seen anyone good at trials. Just blew my mind!
Superb - great to go back to your roots and achieve things you've only ever dreamt of doing.
Such a cool name for a bike shop! Blazing Saddles! Mel Brooks would be proud!

Reminds me of some of your earlier vlogs with you just out riding and chatting. Awesome stuff, more like this please!
