There is literally no reason to say these things to anyone besides trying to overcompensate for their own lack of self-esteem. It's pathetic, but mostly just very sad. Once you notice how sad these people truly are, you see how it's actually nothing personal and it won't get to you anymore. Instead, appreciate that you haven't turned into a bitter bitch. I have an eight year old daughter who is a huge fan of yours. She has been taking horse riding lessons for a half a year now, and you are one of her idols. The last thing she, or anyone in this house, thinks is that you are some sort of "object". You are out there showing young women - especially young equestriennes - how to be confident, how to be positive, and how to dismiss the negative commentary. Please keep being an inspiration to girls like my daughter. God knows that she, and other girls her age in this sport, are going to need it.

They forget that their actions affect more than just them. Erin I'm sure you know all of this already, but I think people will hopefully like this comment. When you have self confidence you get called full of yourself, self centered, selfish, those do come from a place of immaturity, insecurity, jealously. I'm guessing for you Erin, that confidence comes with being happy with yourself as you are, what you have they lack, so it's not a problem with you, it's a problem with them, but often they won't see that and if they do see that in themselves they usually hide it, because that insecurity is treated as a weakness when facing up to it could be the precursor too growth, confidence and happiness. When you wear make up and take care of your body you're suddenly an object despite being a human being, so are we supposed to walk round unkempt? because that gets you called names as well, not everything you will do will make people happy, it's important for everyone to remember this. You'll upset somebody no matter what, because maybe that person is in a bad place and taking things out on others or maybe they just want to be mean, don't care, move on that's not your audience. Even if you were acting sexual Erin, you are still not an object, so the term object I can see how that is the one that does get to you. An object is a pen, a table, a boomerang, humans are not pens, a table or a boomerang, although since I keep coming back to your content I could possibly be a boomerang, I will have to take a rein check on that one. Whilst I'm here I'll highlight another thing, I see people getting upset over being called an object or being objectified, but then they'll post a picture or a video a objectifying somebody else, which I find to be a very confusing behavior, if that person doesn't like to be objectified why do they think it's okay to do it back? I've never really understood this. If you are jealous of somebody it's much more productive to look at what you can do to better yourself, but this only works if you are doing it for yourself and not because you want to be better than the person you are jealous of, because you are your own person with your own unique skills, traits, personality and body, you will never be the same as somebody else because you are you, and that's okay. People who call you out for sexualising horse riding are actually just sexualising you and making you an “object” in their own eyes, there will always be men around to do this, I wish this would stop, but women are actually doing this as well, by linking your riding videos into being sexual, triggering that negative response from them. Please note I use the terms men and women loosely here, I know there are more genders than this. People who are jealous of somebody else's physique, need to understand that no body is built the same way, but in turn “we” in general need to stop body shaming. In general, I know not everyone does does this, we body shame people if they are fit, unfit, short, tall, skinny, curvy, overweight, transgender, non binary, have this or that hair colour etc, why can't we accept we are all different and that we are all valid because we are human. When we post on social media it is for attention, but it's usually for that positive attention, and there isn't anything wrong with that, it's supposed to be fun, it's engaging with people, it's making people feel apart of what you do, it's allowing people to be included in that small part of your life, which is a lovely thing to do. People comment negative things for the attention too, if you don't like something then you can just scroll on past, you don't need to engage at all in any way shape or form, by making that negative post you are looking for others to agree with you or you are trying to seek attention from the original poster, which is looking for attention. “Looking/seeking for attention” is a term that's seen very negatively, but it can be a very positive thing. For example Erin you are using your videos to grab attention to promote you well designed equestrian products, because how else are you going to get them out there? How else are we going to be able to see how they fit? and how they are in the saddle and on the yard? You need to seek attention from people, for people to know and for people to engage. How is seeking that attention a negative here? By posting videos on TH-cam you are seeking for attention, because you want to include people in what you do, how can this be a negative thing when the huge majority want to give you that attention by watching your videos, by enjoying them and by engaging back. Every person who posts on social media is seeking attention back, other wise we'd not post anything at all. Seeking attention doesn't need to be this negatively used term, we all do it everyday, it's a positive too. So when people say “you posted this for attention” well yes I did or I wouldn't have posted it and you posted you comment also for attention because otherwise you wouldn't have posted it as well. It's such a silly thing. People will also make negative posts to out trump the previous negative post, or to join in on the negativity for a sense inclusion. My friend put a negative comment, I'll agree with her and put a negative comment even though I don't actually agree. People will say that their negative comment is their opinion, just because you have an opinion it doesn't mean you need to voice it. And some people will flat out insult somebody and palm it off as an opinion, “In my opinion you're ugly nobody will ever married you” the “In my opinion” is palming it off as an opinion, the “ugly” is the insult and the “nobody will marry you” is that negative assumption to finish things off on. At the end of the day people are people, but “we” the huge majority love your content Erin, please keep on uploading for our attention, because we are all here to give you that attention, keep being you doing what you do. You are clearly a kind hearted well spoken person, thank you for sharing a small part of your life with us.
Though the video is older I still want to say it: It’s jealousy plain and simple. I’m 30 years old and worked hard on myself and I’m completely happy with me and my body and I’d never comment in a negative way on another woman’s body like that. I think it’s amazing when young women are confident in who they are, how they look. I used to be so insecure and it didn’t help that strange women would constantly comment on my body and it took years for me to learn it’s jealousy and happy people don’t do that to others.

I've gotten my share of hate as a musician. its a very toxic world. people are a reflection of the toxicity they grew up in that was heaped on them and they spill it out on others in the same way. I don't understand, people can go to the gym or compete in sports (wearing spandex) because it keeps everything tidy and helps to make sure the clothing doesn't get in the way. Why can't riders do the same, riding is a sport. Wearing spandex or tighter fitting clothing is more comfortable and can give you a better idea of how your position looks. Also you had a baggy sweater!! Why not make it look cute too with colors? Nothing wrong with fashion and functionality in a sport. It shows you like to focus on riding and are professional, it's a very clean and non distracting way of dressing that helps with riding. But if people don't see that, it just means they are uneducated and mean. I am glad you have a good attitude about it all. Stay strong girl lol love the bikini thing to make a point..shut them down! 👏👏

If you are jealous of somebody it's much more productive to look at what you can do to better yourself, but this only works if you are doing it for yourself and not because you want to be better than the person you are jealous of, because you are your own person with your own unique skills, traits, personality and body, you will never be the same as somebody else because you are you, and that's okay.
People who call you out for sexualising horse riding are actually just sexualising you and making you an “object” in their own eyes, there will always be men around to do this, I wish this would stop, but women are actually doing this as well, by linking your riding videos into being sexual, triggering that negative response from them. Please note I use the terms men and women loosely here, I know there are more genders than this.
People who are jealous of somebody else's physique, need to understand that no body is built the same way, but in turn “we” in general need to stop body shaming. In general, I know not everyone does does this, we body shame people if they are fit, unfit, short, tall, skinny, curvy, overweight, transgender, non binary, have this or that hair colour etc, why can't we accept we are all different and that we are all valid because we are human.
When we post on social media it is for attention, but it's usually for that positive attention, and there isn't anything wrong with that, it's supposed to be fun, it's engaging with people, it's making people feel apart of what you do, it's allowing people to be included in that small part of your life, which is a lovely thing to do.
People comment negative things for the attention too, if you don't like something then you can just scroll on past, you don't need to engage at all in any way shape or form, by making that negative post you are looking for others to agree with you or you are trying to seek attention from the original poster, which is looking for attention.
“Looking/seeking for attention” is a term that's seen very negatively, but it can be a very positive thing. For example Erin you are using your videos to grab attention to promote you well designed equestrian products, because how else are you going to get them out there? How else are we going to be able to see how they fit? and how they are in the saddle and on the yard? You need to seek attention from people, for people to know and for people to engage. How is seeking that attention a negative here?
By posting videos on TH-cam you are seeking for attention, because you want to include people in what you do, how can this be a negative thing when the huge majority want to give you that attention by watching your videos, by enjoying them and by engaging back.
Every person who posts on social media is seeking attention back, other wise we'd not post anything at all. Seeking attention doesn't need to be this negatively used term, we all do it everyday, it's a positive too.
So when people say “you posted this for attention” well yes I did or I wouldn't have posted it and you posted you comment also for attention because otherwise you wouldn't have posted it as well. It's such a silly thing.
People will also make negative posts to out trump the previous negative post, or to join in on the negativity for a sense inclusion. My friend put a negative comment, I'll agree with her and put a negative comment even though I don't actually agree.
People will say that their negative comment is their opinion, just because you have an opinion it doesn't mean you need to voice it. And some people will flat out insult somebody and palm it off as an opinion, “In my opinion you're ugly nobody will ever married you” the “In my opinion” is palming it off as an opinion, the “ugly” is the insult and the “nobody will marry you” is that negative assumption to finish things off on.
At the end of the day people are people, but “we” the huge majority love your content Erin, please keep on uploading for our attention, because we are all here to give you that attention, keep being you doing what you do.
You are clearly a kind hearted well spoken person, thank you for sharing a small part of your life with us.

It’s jealousy plain and simple. I’m 30 years old and worked hard on myself and I’m completely happy with me and my body and I’d never comment in a negative way on another woman’s body like that. I think it’s amazing when young women are confident in who they are, how they look. I used to be so insecure and it didn’t help that strange women would constantly comment on my body and it took years for me to learn it’s jealousy and happy people don’t do that to others.
I am so sorry this is happening to you, you seem like a good person, and a good rider, hope you're holding up fine.

I see it everywhere and it is disturbing. I've gotten my share of hate as a musician. its a very toxic world. people are a reflection of the toxicity they grew up in that was heaped on them and they spill it out on others in the same way. "hurting people hurt people" If they were ok and happy they would be focused on persuing their own thing, focusing on their own relationships and feeling good about that.

I don't understand, people can go to the gym or compete in sports (wearing spandex) because it keeps everything tidy and helps to make sure the clothing doesn't get in the way. Why can't riders do the same, riding is a sport. Wearing spandex or tighter fitting clothing is more comfortable and can give you a better idea of how your position looks. Also you had a baggy sweater!! Why not make it look cute too with colors? Nothing wrong with fashion and functionality in a sport. It shows you like to focus on riding and are professional, it's a very clean and non distracting way of dressing that helps with riding. But if people don't see that, it just means they are uneducated and mean. I am glad you have a good attitude about it all. Stay strong girl lol love the bikini thing to make a point..shut them down! 👏👏
