Wow! Thanks for the tour. I wish I had a time machine to create a video tour of Khobar in the early 1970’s when the downtown section was about four streets of suks. Wonderful memories of time long ago of a place now far away.
I really miss Al Khobar. I'm a Filipino and I worked there in Al Khobar for 6 years. I would love to revisit that beautiful city again someday because I fell inlove with it so much. ❤
i really like this video because it gives me the chance to experience other places which are far or forbidden to me (im from israel). thanks for sharing with us. i might do such thing with jaffa.
Thank you so much for that video. I really enjoyed it. I woke up today in London and missed my home "Khobar" so much. Now I think I found what I want lol. I live only 4 min from sea, so I used to watch sunrise its really refreshing and quite. Khobar is a very peaceful city except in the weekend, strangers ARE HERE.
My wife and I miss Khobar very much. I was there for 20 years from 1993 to 2012. We saw Khobar turn from a small town to a cosmopolitan city during that time. Some of the places to remember: Corniche, Sawakat, Shula Market, King Khalid St. La Meridian, Holiday Inn, Movenpick Hotel, Indian Pakistani restaurants, Abu Nawas Restaurant, Saudi Qabsa, and many more spots to remember. Long live Saudi Arabia.
Been there 14yrs I miss my good old days in Khobar. 👍Beautiful city, the stores & restaurants, delicious food, people are warm, jogging, walking and fishing at Corniche, etc.
If you have plan to work or live in Saudi Arabia, Al-Kohbar is one of the best cities in KSA for several reasons, one of them it is safest and multicultural city in the country. Have a great trip.
I'd worked in ARAMCO /Saudi Aramco from 1982 to 1992. Alkhobar before is really very different now a days...There's no tall buildings and main road are very narrow mostly 2-lanes road.. now it is really beautiful... Our dormitory in Saudi Aramco is Al-Munirah
I wish you hadn't sped up the video so we could see it better, but it was very nice! A friend of mine recently moved there and I wanted to see what it was like.
Waoo, and Waooo it was wondeful to watch the Video, what a graet city, i was there 2005 and 2007 on my wedding of which am marriage to a Beautiful lady from Al Khobar, since then my heart is in Al Khobar. By the way we now live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. But wife is now in Al Khobar for Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr festival, she will back on september 2012. I miss my wife and miss Al Khobar, Inshallah I will be there 2013 In Shaa Allah
Well, it sounds like heaven to me. I live by the Gulf of Mexico and I see you have the Arabian Gulf right by you. The sunrise is awesome. thank you hd13power

My wife and I lived in Saudi for 16 years, 1995 to 2011. Lived in Jeddah from 1995 to 2004 then transferred over to Al-Khobar where we live till I retired in 2011. I Worked for Aramco. In Jeddah we lived in Azzam Compound up by Usfan a bit north of Jeddah and in Al-Khobar we lived in Dorssary Community Center. We really enjoyed our time living in Saudi. I really was looking forward to a nice pleasurable drive around Al-Khobar to see the sights I still remember but saw nothing except the roads I drove on and had to take great care to avoid being hit by the "Wanna-be" race car drivers like the one driving in this video. What a shame.
Rick plz reply to this fast so I have the opportunity to live in al Khobar but I hear Saudi Arabia sucks due to its laws. But I hear Khobar doesn't have any barbaric laws
Tarek Attal My wife and I left Saudi back in 2011. When we were living in Al-khobar the local rules of the Saudi culture applied to everyone. But if you kept your nose clean and did not go looking for trouble life in Al-Khobar is quite pleasant. The causeway to Bahrain makes it even nicer.
Cool looking city. I love the roads there (except for all the red lights!) Do they have a speed limit there? And what happens if you run one of those red lights? I love all the palm trees. Reminds me of South Texas with the flat lands and open skies and palms. thanks for video. I always wanted to go to Saudi Arabia all my life - but then again, I would not be allowed to drive. Oh well.
hehe :) i'm speaking little arabic, but that's because of two things: 1. i have good friends from the israeli/palestinian arabic community. 2. i am an artist and a designer and a man of peace, and i care about the middle east in a deep way - i see we have a joined future here, despite all the wars and the racism, and i want to spread a message of love to all my middle eastern brothers and sisters. learning arabic is one step in the hard journey of peace.

Yes. I really love it. Right now I'm in Arkansas, U.S :) I just graduated this semester with a bachelor and im heading back to AlKhobar this summer. I was born and lived there for almost 22 years. Alkhobar is the best option for a foreigner, because you have these neighboring countries like Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and UAE. Bahrain is the closest in which is about 30 mins via the bridge. Dubai is about 8 hours drive. Anything you cannot find in Saudi Arabia, you'll definitely find in Bahrain. For exampke, I don't drink but I have a Canadian friend who goes every other weekend to Bahrain to enjoy couple drinks (alcohol) in Bahrain. Liquor is illegal in Saudi :) It is really fun place and if you love food then you will enjoy it the most beside the deserts and beaches. Alkhobar people are really friendly and nice. The country is family oriented. Families have more privilege than singles. That's what I noticed throughout time. Although, I might be wrong by now Because there's a new King and laws have kinda changed. President Trump is visiting Saudi Arabia this May and he will definitely drop some investment and some economic ties.
@@HD13POWER thank you, because I'm about to move to Khobar and need to found out the situation there.. do I need take local driving license? Or can I just use my international driving license?
the video is really nice & the city is really fantastic and it's where I was born! but your driving looks poor !! drive carefully next time !! you're in SAUDI ARABIA ..
