  • According to a recent poll by Time Magazine - most Americans watch "funny" news versus "real" news because they find it to be more honest and revealing. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, a satirical news program, broadcasts on the Comedy Central network in the United States. Two weeks before the Iranian elections in June, The Daily Show sent a reporter and producer to Iran to get the funny truth about the country. Sahar Sarshar of VOA's Persian News Network reports.

As far as I’m concerned this series with Jason Jones on the daily show was the best of all of them. For some reason I will just never forget. And I love when he’s wearing the T-shirt that has the statement that says I’m with the Jew…. Too funny!!!!!

@koroushebozorg Persians are farsi speaking people found in iran, tajikistans, afghanistan, uzbekistan and bahrain in great numbers. while iran is a country with citizens from different ethnic groups such as persians, turks, kurds, and baloshis. in most cases true but a persian is not necessarily iranian, or an iranian necessarily a persian.
ireland, scotland, wales and england are all part of britain their for british.

It's funny how nobody knows the first thing about Iran. Really sad since Americans don't even know that a huge financial crisis is about to crush their country.

@MissVampireDiaries yh Iranians are Persian not Arab....and obviously our intention towards politics and international society is really different compare with our neighbours (especially Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and Iraq)

@koroushebozorg I always though Iranian inferred political (state) origin and Persian meant ethnicity. Correct me if I'm wrong :/

@shayan22h well these men were making a really big political statement, thats why i was saying they could have been in trouble... the iranian government feels threatened by anything that people say about it, especially when its on international programs such as this one

Its the government, not the people. The peoples fault is being naive and cowardly not to stand up for their rights. Period.

Met an Iranian flight crew at the Sama Sama Hotel in Kuala Lumpur last Christmas Eve. Lovely, beautiful women, they were taking pictures in front of a Christmas tree.
Sweet young ladies, all claiming a love for America AKA great Satan.

+Dee Donner Ramone As I've understood it, they don't like the American government but they make a clear distinction between the government and the people. Actually a lot of people in the Middle East think that way at least the one's I've met. They like the American people but despise the government, unfortunately most people misinterpret it.
