Probably some of the very best years at Reading,I was at all those races. My patents would not let me miss them along with my two brothers.I started going there when I was 6 and did not stop until it closed in 1980.THANKS FOR THE SHOW.
The Flatheads at Reading put on one heck of a show. Their slower speeds allowed for some incredible close side-by-side action that was thrilling to watch. It also allowed for many incredible accidents. Thankfully, most of the accidents didn't result in serious injuries. I saw my first race there in 1956 as a 5 year old and I was hooked!
I want to apologize to everyone that has viewed my videos and commented for not replying immediately. I have taken on a very large undertaking for the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing that has consumed a great deal of my time and kept me from completing more videos and replying to comments in a timely fashion. I appreciate all the compliments and comments along with the likes and follows. I am hoping going forward from here that I will have more time to pay attention and will reply as quickly as I can to any future comments or questions. Thank you! Carl
