Just some Cantonese fact
Cantonese has a similar sentence structure with English.
She says '咁我而家係講緊廣東話', which means ‘Now I am speaking Cantonese.’
‘咁' has no meaning, it just a filler word to start a sentence.
‘我' refers to 'I’.
‘而家' means ‘Now’ and ‘係' refers to 'is, am or are'. There is no difference between these three words in Cantonese.
You can also ignore the '係' word, the sentence will still have the same meaning.
'講緊' refers to 'speaking', while '講' means 'speak' and the following word '緊' is similar to '-ing' in English, we put this word after action, stating that we are doing it in the present.
'廣東話' refers to 'Cantonese'
If we combine them all together, we can translate it to ' Now I am speaking Cantonese.'
Another example is '我而家講緊英文'
'英文' refers to English.
This sentence means that ‘Now I am speaking English’
