Hello NW Army Italian Division here. Tobias Sammet is another great artist and Avantasia's live concerts are wonderful and with a lot of guests on stage.
Floor adjusts her level for every duet (among many) she's done. No breaks needed for Tobias, only pure power.

He is a singer and songwriter of the power metal band "Edguy", and the founder of the German metal opera project "Avantasia".
I Love this huge 80's vibe to it, and visuals, Those VISUALS.... Those Tim Burton/ish drawings are absolutely brilliant (The artwork was done by Swedish illustrator Alexander Jansson).
This song is from latest Avantasia album called "A Paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society" (Proud album owner here).
Plus, this song is not the only one in this album that is blessed with Floor's vocals !!!!

You may like Avantasia. A German supergroup who uses many legendary metal vocalist. They are huge in Germany and most of Europe.
Tobias Sammet's Avantasia is like Arjen's Ayreon. Metal musicals at its best. And Tobias was also a singer at "The Day.. " from Ayreon. Yes - European Metal is like a huge family 😂. And Avantasia is German 🤪
Avantasia is awesome. Check out Dying for an Angel, with Klaus from the Scorpions as a guest singer. Another great one is Moonglow, off the same album as this video you just did.
Enjoyed your reaction! Avantasia is rock opera project similar to Ayreon in that Tobias writes the music and then assembles some of the best musicians to record it. Floor commented on the original how much of privilege it was to sing on the album and that it was kind of a bucket list thing for her. I saw in a comment from Tobias that when he approached Floor about singing this duet with him she was initially reluctant because it is pretty far down in her range and not the most comfortable place for her to sing but Tobias assured her it would be great and as you see it was. I love the warm tones Floor can hit in the bottom of her range. Never thought of the Journey vibes but it made total sense when you said it. I absolutely love teh way Tobias and Floors voice blends together. I would love to hear them live sing some Nightwish songs with Tobias taking Marko's part. Seven Days to the Wolves comes to mind.
Tobias was the Captain in The day that the world breaks down, so you know his voice too. :)

Did you record this before "The Day That The World Breaks Down"? You recognized Tobias Sammet (Avantasia lead singer) when he showed up in the Ayreon video. Anyway, Tobias created this metal/opera project back in 1999. They have a core group, and like Ayreon, use guest musicians and vocalists. This song comes from the 9th album, 2022's "A Paranormal Evening With the Moonflower Society". Floor did 2 songs on the album, the other is called "Kill the Pain Away".
Also try the title track to the previous album, "Moonglow" feat Candace Knight.
Yet again you ROCK! this is another awesome one! Tobias is the captain in Ayreon's "The Source" - e.g. "The Day The World Breaks Down". Yeah, you got this! edit : "The Moonflower Society" for another reaction?

I've often described Avantasia (especially the most recent albums) as "What if Meatloaf, but Power Metal?" Ghost in the Moon being quite possibly the most perfect example of the "Meatloaf" feel in my opinion.
The other Floor collab from A Paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society, Kill the Pain Away is EXCELLENT. From the same album, a good option would be The Moonflower Society,
From the album Moonglow - the aforementioned Ghost in the Moon, but also Moonglow, The Raven Child, or the cover of the 80's dance classic Maniac are all good choices.
From the album Ghostlights, personal favourites are Mystery of a Blood Red Rose, Let the Storm Decend Upon You, and A Restless Heart and Obsidian Skies.
The whole album is worth checking out, though this is my favorite.
I have a recommendation related to Avantasia. One of the vocalists that Tobias would call on to perform when on tour is a singer named Adrienne Cowan. Adrienne is a masterful vocalist that can pretty much handle whatever you need done, from musical theater to death metal and black metal. There is a TH-cam video of her performing "Kill The Pain Away" with Avantasia, and that song was recorded with Floor. Adrienne also works heavily with Sacha Paeth's Masters of Ceremony, tours with The Sonic Symphony, writes video game music. Her own band, Seven Spires, is an American based symphonic metal band with stupidly skilled musicians. Check out "Architect of Creation" from the latest album

Personally, I like Kill the pain away it's a little harder than this
