Golds limited supply matters because gold is money and is necessary!
Cryptos hasn't really got a limited supply when new cryptos can be created, also cryptos are not money and are not necessary!

The same investment rational is used by millennials regarding cryptos and now NFTs - limited supply. Hope someone still believes rice has some intrinsic value if not Gold/ crypto.
Cryptos= limited supply of nothing
Basically every crypto is currently outperforming gold and the SPY exponentially though across all 1Y timeframes, only exception is for the people that bought the 60k BTC top.
Cryptos are unlimited, 10000 cryptos and every day a dozens new. Any day the limit can be changed too, it is just a code!

@Scott Sehm Bitcoin is actually the same as gold. But Bitcoin is a better store of value than Gold. Gold is only used for jewels, gpu and thats it. It has unlimited supply.

Bitcoin is nothing like gold. Bitcoin is a limited amount of nothing. Bitcoin isn't a store of value, it's a speculative asset. A gamble that feeds off of people's greed and stupidity

Gold isn't for making money ya doofus. It's to preserve wealth. Bitcoin is for making money off of other idiots. Basically it just transfers wealth, while gold stores wealth. Gold should be your base, Basically like a long term savings account.
