Hey Christy, I’m in South Bend Indiana. So nice to hear that you are a …sort of…local girl. All that Chicago food is making me hungry! Blessings, love you guys.
Outstanding authentic Chicago Italian beef sandwich. Been searching all over East Tennessee for this. Finally found it today at this place. Reminds me of Vittori's on Taylor and May Street, Chicago, that I used to frequent back in the day. Will be back for more. Ordered mine with both the sweet and hot giardiniera - fantastic !

That food looked so good. We love sausages and hotdogs. I'm going to try and mimic those here at the house on the grill. I doubt we will get to Knoxville to try Chicago hotdog and sausage company. But if we do, we will stop there.
Thank you for sharing. I grew up just outside of Knoxville and I’m glad to hear about another Chicago place opening up. Have you been to the Rosati‘s pizza place off North Shore Dr. if you haven’t, it’s the only authentic Chicago style pizza that I found around here let me know you’re going and I’ll meet you there.
Didn't know you grew up in "The Region"! My wife and I did too and are familiar with the local food. Moved after college to Indianapolis. My wife still makes homemade Italian Beef. That's a special dinner night. :)
Looks great, glad you guys got some authentic Chicago close to home! Now you just need someone to open a Lou Malnati’s down there and you’ll be set! We’re lucky to only be 2.5 hours from downtown Chicago and about 30 min from a Portillo’s, so we never have to suffer for long!
Love the beef sandwiches looked really good! Turano bread is the best. They probably will get really busy when that stadium is up and ready he said it will be 4 miles from there.
Thank You for the introduction into another restaurant. Mike seems friendly restaurant seemed to keep people in it whether dining in or carry out. Im assuming they only carry Coke products as well as some bottled beverages as I saw some customers drinking from either, or. I enjoy watching your videos on your outings and will be looking forward to some more... Have a Safe Week guys as we enter our 3rd hot 🔥 week of July 2024!!
Loved the video when we get in the area definitely gotta go there , hey Brooks have you and Christy ever try Red caviar potted meat with BBQ pork rinds with pop or litte millers delicious.
My next trip home to North Alabama I will have to take a sort detour off 40 to Asheville Pkwy to get me an authentic Chicago Vienna dog, drug thru the garden. Thank you for sharing this place.😊
I am obsessed with Chicago dogs. There's only one place that I know does them right, and that's about 100 miles from us, but it's totally worth the drive.
Many moons ago I had the pleasure of visiting Chicago to see friends and go see the Cubs play at Wrigley and the White Sox at Comiskey. I also got to eat a great Polish Sausage Sandwich at Jim's Original Hot Dog Stand. I even got one to go and got a Pork Chop Sandwich too. The fries were awesome too but the Pork Chop Sandwich was Nirvana. I also had a deep dish pizza from My Pi Pizza because they'd had one in Miami for a time but went out of business, and it was the best deep dish pizza I'd ever had. I must have been bad luck because the Cubs and White Sox lost, but at least I got to eat well. Next time I'm in Knoxville I may have to check this place out!.
Went there today was excited since I’m a born and raised Chicago girl. This was a no for us 1. The Chicago dog had 2 slices of tomatoes that were so thick and no celery salt 2. The Italian Beef Sandwich bread looked like it was just taken out of the oven with no color and looked raw. Overall I would give this place a 2out of 10 and that’s being generous considering we had to eat in our car because it was 93 degrees inside and outside
and it's "Real Food, fast"! Moved to Gatlinburg from Chicago 45 years ago and the food is the only thing I miss, Beefs #1, Pizza #2, Gyros #3....Tell Chicago Mike to bring it to the mountains! (I left in 1979, never knew of the pizza puffs) I grew up near O'Hare.
Brooks and Christy we will be coming from Kentucky and so is this place easy to get to on the way to pigeon forge? As we are passing knoxville? Like I said before I went to college in St Louis Missouri and on weekends with our puppet team we would go to many places in Chicago I can't wait to go to this place and I want my husband to experience a real Chicago dog!

I went to college in St Louis Missouri I know all about Chicago food LOL it is definitely not a Hot Pocket!
No Giardinera, bun is too dry, still looks decent, but its not Als #1 or Mr Beef. Glad to see it down in Tennessee for you kids. Were going to Als today for a sausage and beef ...... Its a need🤣👍🏼🍻🇺🇸
@2AChef-n-BBQ I wanted sweet peppers and Brooks had the Giardinara but asked for it light. The sweet pepper was dipped and not dry at all. The combo was plenty wet for our taste. You should definitely give them a shot.

Raised in Chicago, married spent 35+ years in the 219 aka a region rat lol. A chicago dog is a Vienna Red Hot on a poppy seed Mary Ann bun, with mustard, bright green Vienns brand relish, chopped onion, celery salt, sliced tomato, sliced fresh pack Vienna brand kosher dill pickle, and hot sport peppers, wrapped in a wax paper sheet with your fresh hot fries tossed in next to your dog. Dreamy. We had fabulous hot dog place around us. Nothing can beat the real Italian beef either, and I agree, the Torano buns were perfection! By the way the main meat used was tongue in the original Italian beef sandwiches. Those also shine when adding the au jus, the sweet peppers and hot sport peppers.
@rebeccastinnett2453 Christy is also a region rat. Everything about the hot dog is perfect aside from the bun which cannot be sourced affordable to TN, unfortunately.
No it was ok. She was very nice! We talked to her and she was very curious about how we make our videos. 😊. In this case, it was okay that we were being stared at. 🤣

I’m so happy to see Chicago style hotdogs and beef in your area. I’m fortunate enough to have it all around me😋. Now if you can convince Mike to wrap the fries in with the dog in wax paper he will have a true winner. At the very least put the fries in a paper sleeve, those styrofoam contains make things soggy😢. Great video 😋
Not only is the bun wrong, it should have a pickle spear and neon green relish!!! Not even close to a Chicago dog!!! If she really is from Chicago she should know better!
She is from the region and grew up around Chicago. At the time of opening they were unable to get poppy seed buns and she doesn't care for the pickle. They do have the buns now. As for neon green relish...who needs all that artificial food coloring. It's all in the Vienna Beef hot dog, which is what it is. The toppings were fresh and delicious. Sometimes you have to be grateful that someone worked hard to bring a quality and delicious product that very closely resembles home. Why be such a downer on a new business doing great things? We would encourage you to check them out. They are doing great! For East Tennessee folks missing Chicago street foods, it is a real treat. Thanks for Watching.
