Oh My God: The video is all about innocence, temptation, depravity, fall from grace. There's angels, there's a demon (the blonde girl), there's girls getting tempted and either resisting or not. Behind that, there's a story about being yourself, trusting yourself, and doing what's right for you, no matter how other people view it. It also has strong lesbian anthem undertones: love is good no matter who it is, and all the female pronouns, and especially the rap lyrics in the English version of the song.
Lion: You got it. Self-empowerment. I'll be me, no matter if people hurt me, or try to emotionally blackmail me. I'll challenge the gender stereotypes; the "king lion" stereotype is outdated, let's burn it down, we can be queens and still have the strength and regal bearing of the lion stereotype. The song is actually made for a competition called Queendom, and the live performance is arguably even more insane than the MV. Another insane performance (literally) is Put It Straight (Nightmare version), where Soyeon took their original sad ballad and introduced madness and rage into it.
Also, if you thought (G)I-DLE MVs were confusing... wait till you see Dreamcatcher. They have a storyline spanning some seven or eight videos, but what we know of it is purely what we've pieced together - Dreamcatcher is mostly not telling (and they themselves admitted they are not 100% sure any more what exactly happened through the storyline lol). It starts with Chase Me, their (re-)debut song. They just started a new storyline with Scream. If you'll just see two videos though... I suggest Chase Me, Deja Vu and Sahara. Chase Me because it's the first, Deja Vu because it's self-contained, not in a storyline (though it does have a story) and super pretty, and Sahara because... you'll see. I know it's technically three, not two, but... trust me.

the girl running thru the halls in Oh My God is Yuqi shes Chinese (Lead vocalist , another one of the power house vocal trio)
the girl on the throne in Oh My God is Miyeon (Main Vocalist , and a former YG trainee who was almost going to be in BlackPink) ...(Miyeon and Yuqi got pretty similar outfits and hair in these 2 comebacks so for new fans it might be hard to tell them apart so ud need to watch their older stuff)

GIdle debuted in 2018 under Cube Ent (with the exception of Soyeon having 2 solos before the group debut) their choreo is always centered which leads to one member being behind another member at all times (hint why u think they are 5) they tried a lot of different concepts before these 2 comebacks so they are extremely versatile in their music (and they dont have a bad song up to date ,both title tracks and B-sides are fire every time)

Im super late to this reaction but the meaning for the first song was about women in love with eachother so the blonde one (Soojin) Shes a devil while the rest are angels and they’re all in love with her mostly the one who she was with in that ONE scene(She showed me all the stars,she took me to the sky) but Soyeon(short black hair)said the song could be interpreted in many ways but thats the main reason.
Soyeon (the leader and rapper) makes all their music. She's so talented

Ok (G) I-DLE is a group of 6 members (Minnie, Miyeon, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua) have just completed 2 years of debuting, they are especially known for their creativity knows no limits and versatility (they prove various concepts) including breaking the standards of the girl groups by being involved in the production, composition of their own music, including performances, Soyeon the leader is the one who has practically written and produced almost all her music (self-producers), LION mainly highlighted Due to the Queendom show where she was featured as work on in composition, production, set design, costumes (including work on the MV set) she has become the only female kpop idol to write a solo mini album (I-TRUST) which was the last return.
The videos they saw have a story to tell, to start OMG it is not something that we can define exactly but the MV tells about how we fight with entities of seduction before temptation, each of them plays a role (good or evil, angel or demon) who give in and who still stand firm, the lyrics refer to the path of self-love, after spite, of ups and downs, of bad times, invite you to admire the path you have traveled and if you want to love, it begins By yourself, and if we talk about the prefix "she" it is not necessary to limit it, Soyeon said that music should not have a genre.

Actually there is no right or wrong way to pronounce G-idle. The girls said u can pronounce it both ways. Idle is how Koreans pronounce it and g-idle is how the rest of the world pronounce it. So both ways is correct

Thank you for reacting to (G)I-DLE, they're a fairly new group(2 yr old) but they are considered monster rookies. They don't really follow a specific concept, they make their own concept. Plus, they're a self-producing group (writes their own albums, directs their music videos, has the last say when it comes to concepts, they even get to decide their designs, etc). Pretty much, they know their shit and they mean business.
Soyeon, the leader and also the monster rapper is the writer of all their songs. She's a genius when it comes to production.
Minnie, that girl who sung at the intro of Lion can speak Thai, English, Korean, Chinese and Japanese. She's got a very nice color of voice.
Soojin, is the main dancer and sub vocal also. She's in charge of seducing girls. And also boys I guess.
Yuqi, is a chinese member who has a deep bass voice(u won't expect it coz she's got a cute face) who can also speak English, Chinese and Korean.
Miyeon is the main vocal and also the oldest but gets treated as the youngest because she's such an extra. Her vocals are on point.
Shuhua is a Taiwanese member, and also the maknae. She's also the visual and a sub-vocal. Her voice is actually versatile, she can sing very deeply and also mid-range soft.
They have such unique characters on and off stage. When they perform, they rip apart and smash everything but off stage, they're shy cute babies and a bunch crackheads.

Nope, no bubble gum pop in (g)i-dle! It’s so surprising that a lot of people don’t realize the pronouns in OMG at first, i mean it’s kinda a big deal in korea. That’s why i love this group so much, they’re not afraid to try out different genres (like old school hip hop) and topics etc. they could have gone for a more public-friendly song but they choose to write and produce a song like this. Thankfully, the leader of this group is Soyeon who’s a music genius and also not afraid to speak for herself. btw mamamoo and idle are the only girl groups I’m listening to. Ab imo pectoris is latin for the bottom of my heart. There is a lot of opinions on what the video is about. A lot of people say it is religious(not that they re but the video is based off of it) because the title is oh my god and It talks about sin and says "she" a lot instead of "he" or "they". There is a white apple which some say is from Adam and Eve. Soyeon(rapper) is satan and Minnie (the girl getting dragged) is getting poisoned by the sin. At the part with the whisper you can see that the Shuhua is pure but is also shown in the barbed wire that Soyeon was in(her sin or temptations surrounding her but she doesn't touch but before you saw Soyeon lick it meaning she embraces the sin and doesn't care), then soojin(the blonde) whispers and Shuhua gets colored, soyeon is then seen reaching up to a figure in a dress that resembles Shuhua the scene where her dress covered the floor, and then Shuhua turns into soyeon(gives into the darkness). Miyeon stays pure throughout. At the end when Minnie is in the red it is speculated to be hell and she finally got completely infatuated and poisoned by sin. This is my personal view of the video and how I interpreted so if I am wrong it is fine it is just my artistic view point of the music video. It kept auto correcting so sorry if their is any misspellings it kept trying to make Soyeon soybean so Idk what else it did lol ok thanks for coming to my Ted talk bye bye. Also I am open to other opinions I like hearing interpretations :)
