LOL Im 61 yo I remember back when I was 20 I yanked a steering wheel off a 69 camaro and when it came off it smaked me right in nose knocking me out cold! Ive now owned a puller since I was 20 lol
Salvage yard I worked at years ago - the owner just used a shop rag to pop those clips. He took the old standard red shop rag - laid it flat - used a sawing motion around it - rag would catch the edge of clip & twist it out.
To pop the window know off take a hand towel, and if you know which way the clip is try to go for the two ears and jiggle it back-and-forth going up and it pops the clip
Interesting video, I have an s10 with some of these things I've been thinking about doing myself, mainly the speakers and considering changing out the mirrors like you did. So this is a helpful video for reference to know what I'll be getting into so I can plan things out before I get everything together and get started. Also I thought that was very interesting how you swapped out the seats, I've never been a huge fan of the split bench seat and what you did has me thinking I have some other options when I want to do that 😂👍
Awesome. I also put those same Cavalier seats into my 94 S10. Everyrhing bolted together with no mods at all. I used the S10 seat tracks bolted to the Cavalier seats. I also installed a floor shift center console out of a Jimmy. Currently 5.3 swapping it.
Your 94 is in better shape than my 94. I swapped in some Cavalier seats and a floor shift center console from a Jimmy. I also swapped over to a 90s square body 4 spoke steering wheel because the factory 94 wheel was butt ugly. Currently in the middle of 5.3 swapping it. Cant wait to get it on the road.
Mine took some work to get it to this point, it’s been used by construction workers and tradesmen its whole life. It now has the life of ease just carrying me around town and getting washed more often than ever lol. I have a 91 with an LT1 and 5speed that I’ll get back to once I finish up some work on my Camaro.
Dude! Thank you, I have a 97 single cab which is also a 5spd and I also replaced my worn out 60/40 bench with pristine 98 buckets. I too am looking for a console, I’m sure you know manual consoles are HARD TO FIND, and I do not want to buy a floor shifter console and hack it all up. I’m definitely going to try to find a similar console to what you have, I much appreciate your video 🎉
I've had 3 S10s a 89 98 and my current 97 Sonoma which I'll never sell I'm to far into it to even get half my money back at this point but the steering wheel always got my hands dirty which whatever but little pieces would flake off an land on you an get the floor dirty then you'd transfer that to the shifter where your hands were dirty etc so I ordered a steering wheel cover an have the center piece where I believe there's an air bag I can't say for sure I don't know vehicles like that to know but I assume there is but I paid to have the center piece/air bag redone
Those window winder clips... A shop rag stuffed in between the panel and winder and a wiggle should pop that clip out like a champ with any damage. Obviously I'm WAY late to the party but maybe it can help someone else.
King of Kings! Dynomat is easy, peel and stick. A lot of people will put a large square or rectangle piece on the inside of the inner door skin, and the pieces on the larger metal areas where the door panel mounts. For areas that are not flat, it’s good to use a roller wheel to conform the mat to the shape of the surface.
That specific one came from a 97-01 exploder, but different variations of the same thing can be found in rangers, exploders, and mountaineers from 91-01.
Any 95 to 02, but note that if they come from a sedan they will not fold all the way forward. I was out in a junkyard last week for something unrelated and came across a coupe; snatched those up and now have them ready to replace the seats I have now. I may put these in my 91 regular cab.
I pulled that one from a 99. I think it ranges from 92 to 01, and can be found in Exploders, Rangers, and Mountaineers. But they had different consoles as well. You just have to dig for one like this.

The amount of knowledge I got from this video, my brother recently passed away and now I have his s10. These all the upgrade its needs thanks man
Glad I could help, and it’s awesome that you have your brother’s truck and want to do stuff with it. Great work👍

Yes!! this works great. It's weird that not a lot of people know that trick though. People are always struggling with those window crank clips.
I put olds bravada leather power heated seats with a zr2 blazer 5 speed center console all direct bolt in just had to add wiring harness for the seats
I have no clue how I stumbled on this video but I thoroughly enjoyed it! You are knowledgeable and have a great personality
Thank you very much for your support. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
What mirrors u used?

I also got rid of the butt ugly 94 steering wheel. I installed a late 90s 4 spoke wheel.

I herd a fart 😂 right after you checked the console position.. just had to say that ... but great video .. thanks 😁
lol I definitely left that in there on purpose
@@projecthardway 😅😅
I just bought a 1995 S-10 with 76k miles. Interior looks new. Put a new radiator on it.
Hahaha that random fart had me rolling 😂😂😂
Looks Great! Thanks for the info.
Take a red rag, slip it behind the window crank, and pull side to side. It will pop that clip right out.

Amazing!
I got mine for 500 Canadian I drove it back to California no problems at all it’s a 00
How hard is it to Dynamat the doors? I have a 98 I'm working on lol.

What year ford explorer for the center console ?
That specific one came from a 97-01 exploder, but different variations of the same thing can be found in rangers, exploders, and mountaineers from 91-01.
What year Chevy Cavalier you got the seats from?, I'm on the market to do exactly what you did with the split bench in my 01 Sonoma.

What did you use to remove seat rails / tracks
The rails were bolted to the seat frame with 10mm bolts. They have the same spacing between the S10 and cavalier, so they just swap right over.
Hey can u plss send me the link to all the things u bought except the seat the console and the mirrors
