I loved it when your son said “I’m not going to get that right”
As a Father of three I must have heard that phrase a hundred times. Very cute and smart young man. In miles per hour what do you think the wind was that day?

It was probably about 15 at times.. kinda gusty. Wasn’t the best weather for drone flying lol

Maybe he should have read the instructions before he tried to fly an unfamiliar drone.
Calibration procedures vary slightly from model to model.
I know from experience that the HS720E if a fine and stable flyer much like my DJI Mavic, I hated to see it crashed for no fault of it's own.
    Ouch!
Otherwise I enjoy brief reviews under real world (ergo: normal users) conditions. And children thrown in for torture testing is a bonus. LoL!
Poor little HS720E, I hope it's still with us.
    With jocularity,

I was wondering if you have any updates on this drone, I was given one to review and it went off on its own and crashed big time (no wind at all), they sent me another to try. It looks like you did the calibration part wrong too.

I had trouble with the calibration. I didn't understand the instructions completely but I did end up getting it right. I think I explained it in the video. It has been a while. Anyway the crashing part was all us though. I cant blame the product for that. I can imagine though that if something was off internally it would definitely take off on you. Otherwise it will not let you fly it if it isnt calibrated correctly.

Its a beautiful dron, but the drifting things is a major odd. It was my first dron, and I was without experience, so my first crash i thought was my fault... I had to buy and repleace an arm.... Now I know its a factory problem, And In México the customer service is very bad. They not even answer.... so now i have a $300 dollar piece of junk... Then I bought the DJI Mini 2, its simply amazing.... So this is beautifull gut I really recomend you to buy other like de DJI MINI SE, best cámera, a little more money, but it is stable as a rock, and the customer service is amazing.

    Hey man
I was looking at a holy stone that cost about 240. Welk i decided to go with a cheaper one and well that wasn't a bad choice but wasnt a good choice.
The one i went with is from ruko drone and it just drops out of mid air randomly.
I fly drones for my school and I'm talking 5k dollar drones.
    So i know good drones.
Im not sure what is causing mine to drop. The company is ok with support but the app is difficult to get.

Yea this one is pretty good. Haven’t had it out too long but when I did finally get it going it was pretty good considering. Wanted something that had some intelligence so it would be easier for my son to fly on his own. I think I made a good choice without going crazy

Everyone crashes out of the box I find, especially new operators. I got my first drone, the DJI Phantom about a decade ago, and within seconds of taking off, promptly flew into a tree. HAH - I guess my years of RC plane, heli and car experience meant squat. hah.

Sorry but it does say 16 plus on the box, and have you got a flyer ID? Hope you enjoy it but it isn't a toy.

How old is your son who got this drone on his birthday sir? Printed on the upper right corner of that drone’s box is “16+ age”.

When it acts unpredictably.land it,and recalibrate it and try again. It could also be due to localized interference

It’s a very good experience for your son but this drone is nor a toy. You shouldn’t fly with winds over 10mph, be on an open field especially until you get used to it and the box advised 16+ age and read the manual for the proper calibration procedure. That being said I hope you and your son enjoy your future flying.
