The Linkswell screen is made for Ford.I’m putting one in my 2018 F-250.
Phoenix also makes one for the ford. Id say they're all the same just rebranded by different companies

Yes there is a kit for your truck. These will run you anywhere from $700 up
I have a question can you just connect your phone then navigation would work better or can you only use the navigation on that radio?

Great video Pat! Do you know if you remote start the truck in cool weather will the heated seats and steering wheel come on with the automatic climate controlled system.
Not 100% sure but everything should work as it did before
All that screen and cant control ac from it...i dont think i like that part. Sni need a digital harness or sumn for that?

I think it was a 2016 cant remember when I ordered everything but the truck was a heavy duty Gasser. Everything was plug and play and nothing needed to be flashed

Not sure. They're so many add ons and options I wouldn't doubt it can't be done

No this truck did not. But I'm pretty sure it would work with it
I have 2015 express my back up camera shows on my mirror will the back up camera go to the unit or do I have to do some modifications?
I'm not 100% on that. May be able to run the camera cable to the screen instead of your mirrior
What about exhaust brake and tow modes mine arent working
They were relocated to top. Shouldn't have made them not work

Do the steering wheel controls still work like changing the volume n channel with that radio it’s an SLT or sport or workman the big horn and up get the touchscreen radios like 8”
Yes everything works as it would with the factory radio.

Yes. Just make sure when you order one you specify the correct factory equipment that came in your truck so that everything will match up

@@michaelcarrillo601 did you order the proper harnesses to get full functionalit? When ordering the dash there's a ton of different options to choose from. If you did get the proper harnesses you may have to calibrate the unit with your oem setup
@@Powerstrokepatcalibrate with the OBD2 they give you? I had the options of choosing 2013-2018 year, and then manual or auto hvac to my knowledge
@@michaelcarrillo601 did you order off of Phoenix website? Should have given you an option to select that your truck was equipped with the exhaust brake

I didn't remove it, the kit just relocates it

Also one of the things that will make my OCD run wild is the picture of the generic car coming up when the door is open(7:46) rather than a pic of the Ram.
Ive had the Phoneix 10.4" unit in my 2014 Dodge Ram for 1 1/2 years now and i love it ... No issues

@@Mr.NEStalgia That is good to hear. I have heard mixed reviews about the Phoenix unit. Does it work with the USB hub you have in the center console / jumpseat?
Also one of the things that puts me off is the fact that in certain places it shows a generic car, rather than the Ram. (7:45). Honestly I'm contemplating on whether to swap the 8.4 in my 2014 for a 2018 Ram Uconnect so that I can get Apple Carplay or get this Tesla style unit.
