Viktor Gyökeres would be an amazing striker option for Arsenal, but I'm afraid he won't be available until the summer, and Sporting will not let him go unless they receive a hefty fee for him
100% ! Gyokeres has quietly become an amazing striker. He can link play, hold up the ball, his channel running is levels! And when he sees a chance of a goal…he’s got nothing else on his mind but burying the ball. I really like him.

Imo Solanke or Gimenez are cheaper good options, Toney is prem proven but hefty fee if we wanna sign him this winter and Vlahovic is a bit of a risky buy being not premier league proven or in the best form atm
Ivan Toney for me because he has Prem experience and he’s English. Vlahovic was a target before but he chose Juve so he can piss right off.
I just want to throw Guirassy’s name in there as well, he is on the older side but he has been banging in goals for Stuttgard this season and he only have a release clause of 17,5 million. He is certainly an upgrade on Eddie and we save the money for a Osimhen deal in the summer. I just think that it’s a low risk high reward signing.

No fucken way, he:
- doesn't have overly impressive numbers as it stands
- those numbers are inflated by penalties
- has had only a small showing of quality thus far
- from the goals he's scored, many were ultimately unimportant to the game and weren't "game changers" (he didn't break a deadlock or bring them back to draw level... more often scored when they were beaten or were well ahead)
- isn't a great facilitator but the trade-off is normally that they're lethal finishers... which he isn't
- has the fabled English player in the premier league tax meaning he'll cost more than he's worth
- not really young, so his ceiling is likely close to what it is and will have little to no resale value
To sum up, he's not worth what he's gonna cost and isn't likely to be the missing piece of our puzzle, he'd be a decent signing for cheap but at the likely exorbitant fee being expected... HARD PASS

Might not let him go since they're in contention for the title, and his value will probably skyrocket if he doubles his goal tally by the end of the season. He does look insane tho, wouldn't mind if we randomly grabbed him for a good deal in the summer.

@@nabeel426 I honestly don’t know too much about Santi. I’ve watched a few clips here and there but I don’t watch his games week in and week out.
Don't agree with all the martinelli hate. It's not his fault every time he crosses the ball into the box there is almost always no one there to try to hit the ball in. Could he be better? Of course, but to say he's struggling is a stretch.
Also just put Kai at the 9, he usually just pass back in the middle 3rd anyways, so just have him sit at the final 3rd and wait for those crosses.
But Martinelli is struggling, I love the lad but let's call a horse a horse. It doesn't even matter if Havertz is playing or anyone else next to him, he's still struggling. My problem with him is that he never wants to cut in with the ball at his feet. He only wants to interchange. The number of times we've seen him have the chance to cut in with the ball but he decides to stay wide on the touchline and just try to run and cross. And even when our number 8 comes close to him he still decides to hold unto the ball too long that the opposition can settle and mark the option so then he has to try and dribble and he hasn't been any good at that lately. That's his decision making that isn't a system issue (even though I think we have those). Because you can't keep making excuses that he's too wide, because so many times he has the opportunity to cut in with the ball and doesn't and you can't say he doesn't have the options because against West Ham, we played Trossard who can combine with him more and he still struggled and still made bad decisions of ball hogging instead of moving the ball quicker and making a run. If we criticise Odegaard, Havertz, Zinchenko, Jesus and White when they've been out of form I don't see why we should do any different to Martinelli.
Martinelli is the same. Just as all the alArsenal players. The system Arsenal is employing this season while trying to "control" games is the problem. Too slow and predictable. Makes it easy to plan against. Fans who understand football should not hate the same players that were close to winning the league last season. System issue
Bro, martinelli has been coached to stay wide. That’s why he hardly cuts in. I’ve heard on more than one occasion arteta telling trossard to stay wide in order to widen the pitch

Dusan Vlahovic will be a sensible buy considering his age and room for improvement. He fits well in Arsenal's long term goals.

Wouldn't Tony be super rusty though? May 6 is the last time he played.
I did think the same but on second thought I realised that football teams tend to have players who don't play for their teams for 6 months or more due to injuries but on recovery they still get slotted back in the team. As long as Tony has been practicing and keeping fit, I think he will be a good addition but I have seen better strikers out there
