Having finished the Shining Blade recently, I’m excited to have another class to use them on! Fashion aside, looking forward to playing around with these!
Better with green and dark swords.
I main necro and play as reaper most of the times so i'm kinda excited.

I expected some kind of healing on swords, but the secondary effect is really cool, hopefully it doesnt take too much health

A range weapon with a leaping skill and boon corruption potential could work wonders for scourge since they lack those things in wvw and pvp. Plus, their barrier is a great counter to the health loss since you can still get healed up unlike when you're in reaper shroud

I am only worried about sacrificing health will be too much and suicidal. For pve they can boost up the selfheal on these abilties. But most concerned about it in pvp/WvW.
I think the sword is going to be almost compulsory as one of the sets on either scourge or reaper in wvw.
I’m one of the few that thinks this but oh hope in the future an romance can use a shield I’ll like that alot

@@spudzie9117 Don't get me wrong......love my reaper and harbinger and scourge, just not sure about this weapon set. Time will tell I guess.
Do you need all the X-packs to weld swords? i ony have hart of thorns right now?

Basically, you gotta either complete Story Chapter 14 for Shadows of the Obscure, or get like 500 of the wvw currency and buy the unlock that way
my god blood harbs are gonna be having a field day with this, and reapers can finally ditch their greatsword.
I fear these will make main hand dagger or greatsword obsolete. Why we don't get a condition damage or heal/support melee main hand weapon i don't understand.
Daggers will most likely receive a rework.

takes too much health and not enough recovery + Axe/Focus does more DPS then swords currently while also recovering more lifeforce.
Necromancer is all about recovering Lifeforce as fast as possible and get into shroud again.
