I think what I loved most about this track was that it took the forerunner/halo motif and made it run in opposition to the Endless theme, almost fighting for control of the music. This was present in the track "Endless" and it's used beautifully here during the actual fight. I honestly can't wait until we get more on the Endless in the near future.
Truly the test of mettle for a trapped species that has been looking for vengeance for the forerunners unspeakable acts. The only competitor is the Reclaimer (Master Chief) for he has to take every bit of the blame for his ancestors and ancient minds. This is one of the best tracks I've heard in halo
12:00 when I heard this part, I fell in love with this fight. I didn’t like the fight, but then the chieftain started chasing me and it became hi stakes.
@@LateNightHalo Sounds kinda like a mixture of both imo. 5 was heavy on that style of progression with the strings but they utilized the warthog theme with it here.
Holy shit you're a Goddamn legend. I've been trying to find a legit in-game version of this, it's easily my favorite battle track in the entire game next to Tower and Ransom Keep.
I just put this together yesterday. Can definitely agree on it being a pain as well. I mainly went off the soundtrack and there were so many unused parts.
Halo 4 is better. It has belly of the beast, 117 and awakening. Halo Infinite's best track is the road and its basically a modern version of the warthog run with some twists.
@@ObscurumI can’t remember belly of the beast, 117 is alright but lives in the shadow of the Warthog run theme and nobody remembers Awakening outside of only people who liked H4. H4’s music didn’t resonate with pop culture like the bungie music did and there’s a good reason infinite’s was more celebrated-it followed the template set by the bungie games rather than trying to be different for the sake of being different
@@LateNightHalo Hey man I love your channel. I hate halo 4, don't get me wrong, and woah, you replied after all these months, nice (no sarcasm). I prefer Bungie era game's I just thought Halo 4's OST was terribly underused and poorly integrated in the overall game. My original comment didn't say that, but those are my final thoughts on Halo 4 OST, the campaign was horrible btw, and terribly written. But Halo Infinite is a mess, I don't think Halo was ever Halo again after Reach, or if you're a purist, H3. It's over man, but we had a nice... "Warthog run", ok I'll see myself out.
@@obscurum2Halo was not even Halo back in Reach, lol, Bungie didn't give a damn about the source material, most fanboys today praise Reach campaign out of pure nostalgia
I don't care what any TH-cam critic has to say, this campaign is AMAZING.
I agree man it’s really fun and the story really struck me I’ve replayed it a ton

Just beat this boss on LASO, and this music was probably the only thing keeping me from hurling my keyboard out a window.
LASO? That's insane!!!

2:51 Whatever this sound is, I love it. It goes perfectly with this percussion.
It’s a great way to end the first or second round (I forget which one it is)
A synth?
Sounds like a synth bass.

Fun fact: that chieftain has a name and if im correct if he defeated master chief he would become escharums replace
I kinda feel bad for the Endless. They were blindsided by the Forerunners, thinking they would help them but instead locked them up.
T'is a Builder way to go about it.
7:20 just realized they included some Halo 5 type motifs here in the strings.
@infinitesouls42 they need more such as 117
What about that is halo 5 type? It doesn’t sound like halo 5. Isn’t it even using the same cords as the warthog run music?

Hey, look guys it’s Rookie in the wild lol
@@Wasattsi We've been compromised, lads.
The music had me pumped up during the battle that I took it upon myself to defeat the endless with nothing but an energy sword.
What I love is with all the upgrades then proper use of skill and armor abilities this is 100% possible. Damn the gameplay in this was crisp.

Perfect!
Ey
God the soundtrack in this game absolutely craps on h5s and most of 4s

@@predatorjunglehunter7332 Whatever you may think of Reach, the campaign is on its own league compared to H4- Infinite. It's not nostalgia.
