Yep. Basically I don't really set out to put him in my videos. But every time I hit record he wants to get involved and will put his furry butt in the frame. So he's going to do that. I'm just going to put them on the thumbnail and in the videos.
Well thank you very much. Currently he's sitting on top of me and encouraging me to get out of bed and feed him. In most shots I was trying to record the system and he insisted on walking in and being involved
@@deadlycreature3359 well, there's a pretty damn good chance that you might see him in future videos, like 110%. He's currently yelling at me right now telling me that he wants to be in more videos and he requires additional snacks
Your orange cat is the star of the show. Thanks for the honest review. As you can tell by my channel name that I love Evercade. However, this device isn't for me. I am getting the ModRetro Chromatic for Christmas instead. For me, that will capture GB nostalgia, while this device for me won't do that for arcade. I enjoy your videos and sense of humor. 😃
Overall there's no deal breakers on it and I still really like it. But it's definitely not for everybody. I don't know why Capcom won't let them release their games on cartridges because it would be like printing money and all the Evercade fans would buy them up. You know the chromatic It's a pretty luxurious way to play Game Boy and Game Boy Color game so I'm very pleased with mine. My big TH-cam inspiration is RetroBird. He is like laugh out loud funny I also like Jeremy Parrish and he gets a really dry chuckle out of me. I think the best I could do is like groaning dad joke humor, but it's something I'm trying to work on.
What‘s the name of the game at 00:39? Get my Alpha on Tuesday and want to try it out as i also own every cartridge but 90% of the them are still unopened :-)
Thanks for the fast reply.I think i already played that but will have a look. Maybe my eyes are fading now and i didn‘t recognize it correctly on the Iphone‘s screen when i watched your video :-)
Yes, i can confirm. It‘s the cart with Tanglewood which i did not like very mucc but XC is cool. Will make another run on the Alpha. Out for delivery but still not delivered :-) For the next years i hope, Blaze will offer SNK games on cartridge. Buying these is one thing, buying extra devices because of games locked to it, is another. As i also have a CMVS and a NeoSD Pro i won‘t invest in another device but carts for approx. 20€ are fine.
@@tlou2685 well as someone who is a member of the NeoGeo owners Club. You are not really the demographic for Neo Geo games on evercade cart, but I think they would be fun for those of us that haven't gone down the Neo Geo original Hardware rabbit hole. I have Terraonion devices for my PC-ENGINE and Sega Genesis and love them both.
Only putting six arcade games on the system and trying to sell a different one with six different games is my biggest complaint. All the rest I can live with
I mean I really shouldn't have to break out my tool kit to get the plastic off. It sort of seems like they didn't test this before shipping the final product. I mean it overall doesn't change my opinion of it, but it was definitely annoying enough to put in my stupid little video
i would buy Mini Neo Geo cartridges...it would somewhat disrupt the over the top prices of the second hand market...i kind of doubt it...those will go digital...hoping not
Companies have been releasing Neo Geo compilations for decades now so I don't really think that evercade is going to affect the price of MVS or AES cartridges. They're still going to be insane no matter what.
Yes, but Street Fighter is such an iconic game played on an arcade cabinet with a joystick. I think it greatly benefits from being on a cabinet. But for that price we should have got all 12 games
This unit was where I departed from buying every version of Evercade hardware. I wasn’t going to buy 4 of these lol. I have most everything Evercade including all carts and most hardware.
Yeah for $250 they should have had all the Capcom games on one SKU. I'll buy a SNK NeoGeo SuperPocket but I'm not going to Shell out $250 for another Alpha or 200 for another EXP. I want cartridge and I want a LOT of NeoGeo games on them. Remember SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 for PS2? That sucker had almost 20 games on it and it was an "economy value" PS2 game.
I LIKE protective plastic films if you can easily get it off but I would not require a ton of tools and scraping to get it off. It should take 2 seconds to remove, not scraping with a razor blade.
I'm not going to lie. Putting him on the video thumbnail almost doubles the amount of people that click on the video. So his face is twice as popular as my face. That's a tough reality pill to swallow
That being said, I greatly prefer this over the 1UP line of arcade consoles. I think they are terribly overpriced and sort of come across like an uninspired cardboard box. At least this has a bit of a future with the release of new Evercade Arcade cartridges.
Well, at least you can actually play other games on it via cartridges. It's also half the cost of a 1up arcade cabinet and I like the screen better. I like it though and I'm going to have fun with it. But yes, I fully acknowledge it being somewhat stupid which is sort of the thesis of the video.
I do need to rewatch this and count how many times I put my cat in it. I tried doing it but there are times that he kept like sneaking his tail in and like barely looking in from off camera. There are times that he's hiding behind the unit
@@frankly3498 It was extravagant, excessive, gigantic, anachronistic, but not without it's charm. Saying it is stupid is NOT a bad thing as long it is fun, all video games are fun but they can be a little smart and a little stupid.
I like the arcade game video and I like the cool cat.
He is warm and spicy, but he alternates between being intense and totally chill. He wants to be involved in every stage of me making my videos.

Just make the space to put your hands a bit more spacious , put all the games on one unit, a rechargeable battery supply..... and it's a winner.
Only putting six arcade games on the system and trying to sell a different one with six different games is my biggest complaint. All the rest I can live with
You just have to remove the 2 screws that holds the control board to get rid of plastic. Much easier than razor blade!

Seems kind of silly to load up a ton of head-to-head Street Fighter games on a single-player machine. The one with Strider feels like a better fit.
Yes, but Street Fighter is such an iconic game played on an arcade cabinet with a joystick. I think it greatly benefits from being on a cabinet. But for that price we should have got all 12 games

Really needs the other set on cartridge ! Not buying more than one of these
Exactly. Some of the games on the MegaMan game are on the Evercade EXP so I choose to get the Street Fighter one. They need to put both on cartridges
LoL the cat....l am the star of this video not that monstrosity that you like to play !
