One of the baddest, meanest six string slingers we as a planetary race have to offer right now. Don’t sleep on Uncle Eric.
That dude is so naturally musical. I’m always in awe.
He had the advantage of touring with Santana, as a teenager. He was a killer player back then, but he never was a very good songwriter, and he missed many of his younger years, due to psychological issues, mainly tied to substance abuse, and getting into/out of, legal trouble.
He has some very unique voicings and speedy runs. My favorite thing to hear Eric do, is sitting in with other musicians, or his band playing having other songwriter/guitarists with them.
Gales will add his stuff to the music of others, and often I really think it would’ve been a better song if he’d played on it.
This is a recurring theme, with many guitarists, who aren’t famous for a specific song or album, but more for how they play, and the performances they put on.
This guy is such great player in every way, musically, gear knowledge and supreme cool.
He might be the best guitarist in the world, for my money.
The best in the world for the style you like. Too many phenomenal guitar players of different genders to narrow down to only one.

Always floored by how Eric plays a right-handed guitar left-handed AND strung upside down. Yeah, Jimmy did the flip thing but he also flipped the string order to match his left-handed play. This kat keeps the right-handed string order!!! And we're not even talking yet about his ridiculous guitar skills and impeccable artistry. In a word, folks, DAMN! I am right handed and bought a left-handed white Strat just to further appreciate Eric. He's da boss!!

I always respected this guy and loved his playing. And after realising he has 2 Fuzz pedals in his board, I love him more. Eric is the best.

1st time I've seen anyone using that shure wireless. I've had one for about 8 years , and its an amazing unit. The only tuner I've owned where you can see the lights on a sun drenched stage.

Eric is a living legend, no doubt. I think DVMark is off of guitarist radar, but they have great gear for guitar and bass. I use their ultralight 27lb 2x12 which takes 150w/ch stereo with my Kemper and I love it.
Totally true, I got one of their Neoclassic 1x12 cabs for $199 on a flash sale and I am extremely happy I impulse bought it.
At that price I wasn’t really expecting much in terms of sound quality, and even the construction is better than I expected. It has a very flat response so my HX Stomp and power amp work really well though the unit and jeez is it light!
Dear God I hope he just has a summer cold or some allergies going on, I would hate to see him slip back into the doing coke and other drugs again. Drugs nearly destroyed him before and it would be a shame to lose such a great talent.

Saw him last night at the Buckhead Theater in Atlanta, grabbed a photo of his board, it was the one in this video. He put on a stellar performance. One of the best guitarists on the planet. An amazing musician with good heart and down to earth message for all of us. 🇺🇸👮🏻♂️🎸

Using a Ditto pedal on stage would be a bold move indeed because you have to nail the track or it will clearly tell on you.

If position 4 is Stevie Ray, position 2 should be Mark Knopfler.
I get the references but SRV and Knopfler are, in turn, referencing giants from the previous generation who used the "in between" positions (before 5 way switches appeared) 20+ years earlier: Buddy Guy, Curtis Mayfield, Hendrix, etc, etc...even Clapton was doing it way back!

That’s one tiny amp to put out 250 watts!? I saw Eric play with Ron Artis a couple months ago what a amazing talented entertaining performer I’m surprised his guitar didn’t catch on fire what a beast glad he’s having his moment
You should see how small they can get 700-1000w out of for a bass amp😅 there are some plus sides to solid state.
