I don't think anything will ever come close to this, and I am so heartbroken that it's over. Our next animes will be Demon Slayer and then Frieren!
The only thing that will ever come close to this is watching it a second time and noticing all the foreshadowing you’ve missed on your first watch! mmhmm. It's very obvious honestly in the dub, if you watch the dub, Armin is the one telling this story many years later. The dub makes it pretty clear is all. Not saying it's superior, but I think many miss it when watching the sub at times
It’s pretty insane coming full circle and realizing that seemingly before Eren was even born, he was doomed to bear the weight of 2000 years of rage. Also the fact that Armin narrating at the beginning of the series was essentially him telling the story of The Titans. Truly an incredible experience to behold.

Even though they had no control of what they were doing and were conscience of it the whole time. People heavily debate on if Mikasa moved on or not. It’s never confirmed. She was buried in a ring if you look, but then there’s speculation becuase it’s solve it means this and yada yada, people are mad that would make Jean a cuck, but it makes sense for them to be together imo
By the way, the final lyrics where the boy and the dog appear, say that we must stay away from violence and it is a hopeful song. There are some who believe that the titans will return, but they were born by the psyche, fears and desires of Ymir Fritza. as Zeke said. Therefore the titans will not return, since they were born by the desire of a slave girl with fears... the child at the end is the complete opposite, he is a free adventurer with a friend who is a dog... different from Ymir who A dog was chasing her to kill her.
More precisely the kid will wish for something more or less good depending on how society treated him. He definitely seems to be acting out of curiosity, which is a good thing. But he deosn't seem to be in great shape either. He still probably suffered from war and loss.
From the very bigining, Armin has been narrating the story, like the story had been already finished . And in the end of the story , Armin said "Let's tell them all of it". I think Armin became a history teacher so we 'll never do same mistakes again.
Love the ending credit scene, eren dies, then mikassa, then armin who's always last chasing them.... also to quote a favourite show of mine: "All this has happened before, and will happen again." The little boy in the future is actually part of the final titan battle.... go check... also so many great voice actors, many from this and my other favourite anime bakemonogatari.....
I feel like him dying last proves that the symbolic behind Armin saying he was born to race Eren and Mikasa toward that tree is that life is all about enjoying it while you're reaching to your death. That tree definitely symbolises life and death so Armin racing toward it after the two means he died last, and that he lived to die, and tried to enjoy everything in between
Fun fact the first sentence from Mikasa in the Manga (it's different in the Anime) was "see you later Eren" like the last sentence to him when she kisses the severed head and you only see the bottom half of her head with short hair and when Eren wakes up from the dream in the first Manga part he says to her "when did your hair got so long" and then says he feels like he had the longest dream
It'll be really difficult to find animes on this level in terms of story telling on your journey in anime. Explore and hope you find more anime you love.
I mean you can move on to other anime that are close and have a lot of the same themes and deep meaning to them. FMAB and anime like that, I hold alongside it pretty much. Nothing really surpasses it, but some you can put alongside it and enjoy a lot.
I see where you're coming from, but at the same time this means the bar is set as high as it can be set. So hopefully anyone who watches AoT first will continue to watch other anime that are among the highest tier (FMAB, NGE, Berserk, etc.).
10:00, the reason Falco can fly is basically because he manifests parts of the Beast Titan since he was turned into a titan by Zeke's spinal fluid. This same "manifestation" of other titans power can be earlier as well in the series, as when Eren can start using hardening in Season 3 after drinking (or eating the whole bottle...) of Armor spinal fluid. And as was mentioned in the last episode The Female Titan is particularly good at manifesting other abilities, which is why she's so good at hardening herself or calling other titans to her.

The details of last scene paint a bleak post-apocalyptic and post-scientific image. Foot wraps instead of shoes are the harshest indicator how bad it got, as it is something that can literally kill you in bad weather. Now, there enters your belief of what will happen next - whether humanity manages to stabilize at this sort of solar-punk or druid-punk state of balance between human needs and nature's needs, or will it devolve in few generations into world Ymir herself was born into. I am definitely not hopeful here.

no its not, ymirs desires are what led to the titans from what zeke had said. the final scene of the boy walking toward the tree is not like ymirs, she was running away being hunted to death by a dog and entered the tree as an escape while he freely traveled with his dog and freely entered the tree. The whole tone and atmosphere of the tree being a bright green with birds flying around in comparison to ymirs a gritty yellow and dark vibe shows us even more that whatever he desires will not be that of titans.
Loved your journey over time through this absolute masterpiece. I still highly recommend you watch Eighty-Six, remember it's only 23 Episodes as I have stated before. It is another masterpiece itself if you look into all it covers and the storytelling, and the music.

I like the ending but not how it got there. "Battle for heaven and earth", huge battle, many situations in which survival seems not possible. Yet we don't lose a single character. Takes seriousness away. Atleast 1 or 2 should've died and 1 or 2 is even not enough actually. NO ONE can explain to me that through ALL THIS everyone managed to survive. That ist just "Let's get a happy ending even if it isn't logical or anything." which I find very sad. AoT, still the best anime I have ever seen, but this one point is just sad.
