If someone tried to twist your neck, rip your helmet off, kicked you in the balls, and charged you while you were backup, with one of his friends pushing on you, you'd have every right to defend yourself. Does anyone really believe their's no audio?! A prime time, divisional rivalry game, with playoff implecations and the NFL sound crew turned off recording equipment before the clock hits 0?! The NFL and the Steelers investigated the incident independently, but the Browns aren't allowed to investigate?! They didn't have access to the audio that supposedly doesn't exist. And where supposed to believe it because of Tomlin's credibility?! The same coach who's on camera tripping a kick returner with nothing but green between him and a TD. I don’t think it matters that he didn’t injure him. It was a malicious attack with something that could potentially harm Rudolph. Just a terrible look for a Garret. Not a fan of either team so I feel pretty unbiased.

It was assault. Words, no matter how vile and ignorant, do not justify or excuse violence. Garrett and his supporters don't seem to realize that and it's indicative of their own racist notions and hang ups. Especially considering Rudolph's Black teammates on the field at the time had no problem with whatever he said or didn't say. So "the tapes" don't matter.
