처음은 신神이오, 두번은 이올彛兀이로다.
세 번을 먹으면, 죽혼이 되어 턱에 붙어 살며 생전에 알던 벗들의 이름을 외우게 되리라.
죽혼은 다른 이를 꾀어 내어야 성불을 할 수가 있으며...
이 귀신을, 바로 창귀倀鬼라 하노라.
본 고양이전사들 맵은 한국풍 컨셉으로 이루어져 있으며, 고어, 곤충, 해골, 어두운 분위기를 포함하고 있으므로 시청에 주의를 요합니다.
first is ghost(神), second is bigger ghost(彛兀), Third is the final ghost that becomes "Jukhon" and goes to Tiger's neck, Remembering their old friends names. the Jukhon have to lure out innocent victim to Leave the mortal realm behind... We call this ghost, a Changgwi(倀鬼).
This MAP is is based on a Korean ghostlore, in which a men killed by a tiger turns into a spiteful ghost called Changgwi that hunts for additional victims.
In this MAP, Ravenpaw turns into Changgwi after he got eaten by Tigerstar and trys to get Ivypool eaten by him so he can get free.

Finally! the Korean concept Map is finished! to be honest, I couldn't believe that I will finish this. 3 months ago, it was just a dream. if I couldn't finish it, I was just thinking that it can't be helped anyway... @@camilabelengaraycardinali6277 the difference is that this person is Korean and wanted to share their culture. The host for Cleopatra isnt Egyptian and took a song from a very problematic person (denied genocide). Sharing culture is okay! It just should be done by those of said culture yknow?

An explanation of a minor part of the map, I think the cat introduced at 2:06 is hawkfrost, and it's common sense that the black cat is ravenpaw. I mean it's a cool parallel to how hawkfrost lures ivypool into the dark forest, then ravenpaw lures her to be killed by tigerstar.
but what if its Scourge but with green eyes..? (MAYBE A LIL BIT OF MY OWN LORE PLZ NO JUDGING)
This was a BEAUTIFUL map and one of the best projects I've had the honor to be a part of!! I'm Korean American, but I've rarely had the chance to be a part of anything that celebrates my culture!
A quick summary of the story/folklore for those of you who don't know:
In Korea, there used to be many tigers, and people were often killed by tigers when journeying the mountains (nowadays you can't find tigers in the wild in Korea)
Due to this, Koreans created the legend of CHANGGWI. The Tiger is considered the King of the Mountain (like the lion is king of the jungle). But the tiger is evil, and when it kills a human, that human's spirit is forever trapped by the Tiger King, unless they can trick someone else to become the next victim and take their place.
That's where this map AU comes in! Ravenpaw was killed by Tigerstar, so he is trying to lure Ivypool to the King to become the next victim. On the way, Ivypool is chased by other spirits, like Hawkfrost, Mapleshade, etc etc who are all working for the Tiger King.
Hope that explains the story a little bit!

This is so underrated. I absolutly love this take on the Dark Forest. Seeing otjer cultures interpreting elements of the Warrior Cats is really interesting, it adds to the diversity and creativity of the community. I hope this will get more views. What a wonderful ending to the Halloween Mapathon! More and more warriors maps have been inspired by different cultures, like Serpent Sol being an invitation to Mexican culture. This one is hecka inspired by Korean traditions and culture. I love learning about different religions and cultures, and I absolutely dig this map. The credits are just adorable, but can't compare to the entirety of the map. Everything is just so well done.
Also instead of Hawkfrost having a stack in his throat, he has AN ENTIRE FREAKING HATCHET in his neck. Love it
And at the end, they show characters for different maps. I named all of them

i have absolutely no idea what's going on with the story here, my lack of knowledge of Korean culture is showing, but this is a stunning MAP
like it is genuinely gorgeous and i will definitely be watching it over and over to soak in details, wonderful work everyone!
im not quite cultured at korean folklore, but every single vid i've seen that was inspired by it is always so rather horror lmao. seems like yo folklore appears to be a literal nightmare fuel and i actually adore it, kinda had goosebumps from this, especially tied with this the song, its amazing!

BRO THIS IS ACTUALLY SO AMAZING, I'M SAD I DIDN'T SEE THIS MAP SOONER!! I LOVE PEOPLE ADDING CULUTURE INTO WARRIOR CATS! (Not gonna talk about the Leapordstar Cleopatra map.. *Cough cough*) AND THE ENDING WAS FUNNY WITH THE BREAKDANCING AND ALL THAT LOL

YES!!! Out of all MAPs in this Halloween MAPathon, this was the one I was most excited about…and it turned out absolutely amazing! I love the atmosphere and it was really cool to learn about different types of ghosts in Korean mythology!

This MAP is was absolutely amazing to be part of, everyone was amazing and the teamwork was just absolutelly magical, especially towards the end. I love the love and effort you put into this together with lonely, silly cat and plzn!!! This is by far my favorite of the Halloween MAP’s.
Asian mythology/horror is the only type of horror that can make me feel scared, aside from religious ones. Not much, but it was nice to feel the old chill from spooky stories again.
My favorite part was where the mask was floating. Amazing touch in my opinion. It made me go OOOOOO,,, scary mask!!!

Though I don't usually comment twice on a video, I just had to put this here. The "Namu-Amita-Bul" is a prayer to buddha, asking for mercy and protection. I'm pretty sure "Eo-jeol-ssigu" is an exclamation, like "야!". Just some info I thought i should share.
