I was in the middle of playing on the beta server when the Metal Sonic was added and the character reworks were added. Even before the rework I played him as support and if there was a Cream would 1v1 Exe and bide time for the rest of my team.
Personally, the best strat as shadow is to act as a body guard for the player with lowest hp, so it's harder for sonic to get minions, especially if cream is there
My only problem with shadow in this game is how slow he is, Shadow is as fast as sonic canon wise, it was stated, in this game he’s one of the the slowest characters, I think all the characters have the same speed, but it feels like shadow is just really slow, his dash ability is okay, but I think it should’ve been switched with creams ability to run fast, his tackle should also do more since he was one of the only people to give sonic a hard time as a hedgehog like sonic
