I believe I'm correct in thinking that Bernoulli's principle only pertains to a short obstructed vessel, that is why pressure decrease corresponds to a faster flow as opposed to a "normal" or laminar vessel in which increased pressure corresponds to a faster flow. Is this correct? Maybe this is more of a rhetorical question haha.
