I continue to build my porch for a cabin in the forest. I installed a frame for the front of the porch and made two large windows with mosquito nets. For breakfast I made chicken broth in my cast iron pot and for lunch I made a Mexican dish called "Chili Con Carne". This is a simple but very tasty dish, especially in the forest in the fresh air. and also recently I visited very beautiful places, in the Ukrainian Carpathians. You can see beautiful nature shots at the beginning and end of the video. Thank you very much for watching.

I beleive you are absolutely correct. I moved to the forest a little over a year ago and I haven't felt peace and happiness like what I am experiencing since I was very young living in the everglades.
Hi Bjorn, you have come a long way since you started this journey. You have done a remarkable job with your little homestead so far and I can only see it getting better. At 74 years old, I sometimes find myself giving tips on how to do things but, not here, not you. You know exactly what you want and how to do it. Just keep doing what you are doing. Those tall trees in high winds can be a bit scary. You definitly know how to cook and eat well. Thanks for allowing everyone to tag along on your journey.

At this rate, with all that you have done there, you could turn that into a thing where people that will never experience this sort of thing, you could rent that out, where they cook on open fire, use the outhouse, etc, and with that money you can start making a new village. Bjorn...today l were watching when you bring your rabbit so beautiful house....and l remember that l saw a video where you can have a green house down the floor...the roof to the soil level....land is warm..down....is just an idea...to as you heat a lot of eggs..you can get your own hen there...it will be nice...l have many hen here in patagonia in winter we have snow...also l have a green house.....and a rabbit...

When this episode started I noted how nice it must be to work without the terrible mosquitos - and then you put in the screens. Smart choice! I live year round in a similar environment, and the summer insects are just as bad. Next spring, when you go inside, make sure you shake your shirts at the door or they ride along inside.

Wow, another great video Bjorn! I was glad to see you sharpening your knife hahaha! I think this is the first time I've seen you do that... you know, you can also use sandpaper to sharpen your knife... and if you just want to hone it between use or between cuts, you can also use the bottom of your coffee mug if it's made of ceramic. I see that you have a new sheet of leather. That's also a good honing material for light blades, even for your new knife (that's a nice knife you got). Bjorn, you could also get a few Lavender plants and place them on your porch. Mosquitoes do not like that plants along with Marigolds, Mint, Catmint, Mum, and of course Citronella. Sadly this is near imposable in Canada now without a fortune and many months of bureaucracy to just get a small cabin lot in the woods on crown land .Then more months and money getting permission to build anything :( Our ancestors would cry in anger .
