Whenever I do a K-pop dance I get so angry with myself. At first it’s fine I don’t get mad but once I know the dance I get mad at my self for not getting every single detail and repeat it over and over and I just just angry idk how to not get angry. Does anyone know how?
keep in mind that every dancer will mess up. even these girls in babymonster had to do this video at least a couple times to get a take with minimal mistakes in it. just breathe and try again. trust yourself, trust that you know the dance, take a break if you need to. it usually will come back to you. and the more you dance, the better your retention will get.
What helps me is that I think about as if I’m making it my own dance, whether it matches up perfectly or not as long as the moves are recognized as the original it should be good. Dancing is art, sometimes artists recreate another’s art with their own style to it. I hope this made sense, good luck!

28/07/24 starting I started learning at 13:54 (i know the choreography a little but i wanna learn it well) It’s 14:18 im taking a break at : 0:11 it’s so hot where i live i can’t do a move without feeling like faiting 😭 Ok 14:23 im back after 5 minutes i’ll try to learn to 20 seconds without a break ☝️ It’s 14:34 i learned to 0:20 withtout any pose i feel like dying it’s not a hard dance but the weather is killing MEEEE Anyways, i’ll take a break and try to film myself to see how i do. (Btw you don’t have to read this i’m journaling because it’s been years since i haven’t learned an entire kpop dance so i’m trying to see if i still can learn it in few hours like i used to but it’s not looking good…I started learning kpop dances in like 2012 but i stopped around 2016-17 and i’m trying to come back.) It’s 14:53 i recorded myself i have to fix few moves, then i’ll lower the speed till normal speed and i will make another update later It’s 15:41 i cannot feel my legs anymore help- im now at normal speed i have to fix few things before moving on im gonna take a 30 minutes break i’ll analyse my recordings and the video to see what i need to change Ok it’s 16:11 im about to start again It’s not even 10 minutes later…it’s 16:18 im so done rn i didn’t ate so i’ll go eat smth. And maybe later i’ll keep going but i won’t work on my moves, i will keep learning instead.

practice hard, work hard, to the point you wont be mad at yourself
