Favorite part is that you say what model and caliber you're using. Im always wanting that info when i watch hunting shows.

I’ve never been hunting for anything ever. Not sure where to start or what gear is good etc. They keep saying numbers with these deer and im not sure what they mean. Also how do you know if a buck is a good one to shoot? I need to look up a beginner hunting guide book on Google and see what I can find.

Good deer, but the label of golden triangle is absolutely incorrect. The triangle is Webb, Zavalla, and maverick. We are in the NW corner of Webb.

I had the great pleasure of hunting with Bill when I was a senior in HS. He was friends with my shop teacher Mr. Johnson. He would take 6 kids a year hunting at the Sombrito Ranch for cull bucks, does, and javalina. The experience was incredible. I shot a guide 7mm STW which was a freaking cannon. I killed the first doe and Javalina no problem but hit the second doe too far back and one of the ranch hands tracked her down. I felt terrible but the next morning Bill took me out with his personal .243 and we talked about many things as the head ranch hand drove us all over. We saw an old doe at 150 and Bill told me to take her out. I can still remember his calm voice reminding me to take my time and squeeze the trigger. I hit the doe on the corner of her shoulder blade and bone fragments went everywhere. It was really a perfect shot but the bullet did not penetrate completely and we had to track her down about 50 yards and the head rach hand dude cut her throat which was kind of a shock to me in the moment. Bill patted me on the back and said, "even when you hit where your aiming it can still be a sh!t show, thats hunting" We talked about some of his hunts where things did not go as planned and it gave me a ton of perspective about hunting and life in general. I will never forget that morning of hunting as long as I live. The size of the bucks and the hospitality at Bill's ranch is unmatched anywhere in the hunting world. RIP my friend you were a good man and your teachings and legacy live on. 😊

I prefer a138 inch low fence deer over any high fence deer. Wrong. And waste of money. No. Thrill to it

You know it costs money to manage a 12k acre hunt preserve right? They probably pay 50k a year in property taxes and another 50k in feed and seeds for food plots. But they should let you hunt there even though you're poor, right 😅 🙄

Fantastic Trophies! Of farm animals... A real life hunting simulator for rich guys.
I don´t care, there are worse ways to blow up money...
But there are better ways to spend my time, than watching it, either.
