Is ageing not also a consequence of the fall? Generally speaking as we get older our bones get weaker, our eyesight becomes weaker and we also get wrinkles on our face. Bill are you saying that we also have the power to stop the ageing process? One day there will be no sickness or disease and there will be no decaying of our New glorified bodies, but until then it is up to God who he heals and not us! Yes we can pray for the sick, but ultimately it’s God who decides if that person receives healing or not.
    ◄ 2 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

'It's up to God', 'it's God who decides' : yes and no, He already decided and demonstrated it's His will to heal AND made the way in Jesus. And told US to go heal the sick. We are the weakest link, and then we shape our theology around our experience, our failure to understand our commission and our authority. The final part is yes, there is mystery and some things won't be answered until we get to heaven, but it doesn't change God's will and provision for healing. Blessings from one who is also pressing in!

    • @soundmind6477
      @soundmind6477 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Andrea B I’m sure God does not consider us the weakest link, I wouldn’t use that term to describe his new creation. There is no “yes and no” about who decides to heal, it’s clear from scripture that God decides who is healed. Weare encouraged to pray for the sick, praying for healing and Gods perfect will to be done. Not everyone we pray for will be healed this side of eternity, but we know that all Christians will be healed when we are given an incorruptible body. Moses in his conversation with God about his speech problem was told by God: The LORD said to him, "Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Exodus 4:11.
The above verse shows who exactly is in control. God has a purpose and a plan for each life. One person may be born blind, deaf, mute or with some other disability because God in his infinite wisdom uses all things for his glory. Yes, we pray for people to be healed, trusting that God is in control and his perfect will is ultimately good, whether that person is healed or not.

    • @andreab2627
      @andreab2627 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@soundmind6477 Ok, 'weakest link' in that there is no shadow or failing in Him. He's perfect, we're not. He made a way, once and for all, on the cross. We, on the other hand, tolerate sin, we lack faith, we disobey, we don't seek Him when we should, we give up too easily etc. I'm not talking about blaming the sick person, rather as the person praying for them: it's our responsibility to press in, walk closely with Him, seek first His righteousness, do what He told us to do. There is no sin or sickness in Him: ergo in our partnering with Him, we are the weakest link, in seeing breakthrough. I'm not here to argue, I'm pressing in and trying to learn.

Then why is it so hard for so many people to be healed. It seems like we do"fight" to get healed. I've prayed, I've believed, I've stood on the word but nothing seems to change. When it takes so long and you are in pain you get discouraged and weary, you lose hope. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick. " what are you supposed to do.

And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’ - Acts 2:21 NKJV
      Saved
      Greek: σώζω
      Transliteration: sōzō
      Pronunciation: sode'-zo
Definition: From a primary word σῶς sōs̄ (contraction for the obsolete σάος saos safe); to save that is deliver or protect (literally or figuratively): - heal preserve save (self) do well be (make) whole.
KJV Usage: save (93x), make whole (9x), heal (3x), be whole (2x), misc (3x).
And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.” Then he arose immediately.
      Acts 9:34 NKJV
The word heal here in the original greek
      Greek: ἰάομαι
      Transliteration: iaomai
      Pronunciation: ee-ah'-om-ahee
Definition: Middle voice of apparently a primary verb; to cure (literally or figuratively): - heal make whole.
KJV Usage: heal (26x), make whole (2x).
There's 2 other greek words used in scripture regarding healing. But the point I want to make its all over scripture. Healing is for us all, who believe.(Mark 16:16) When you ask for forgiveness, you receive it by faith right? You can't see it, but you know you are forgiven because that's what the Word says. Its just like healing, the only difference is, you can see it, but you have to believe in it first, by faith. All you have to do is get rid of all unbelief. You are saved in your spirit, delivered in your soul, and healed in your body. You are sozo, Peg Stock.
And those who heard it said, “Who then can be saved?” But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
      Luke 18:26‭-‬27 NKJV

Hopefully that was not meant to be mocking but yeah would be nice to see. It should be noted that just because someone talks about God can heal which is factual does not mean that the person speaking should be perfectly whole physically.
This is not like a personal trainer who is fat telling someone how to be in shape and did you know there are out of shape personal trainers that actually train bodybuilders for competition and they do well?. It is offensive in many ways but may God give us whatever is needed to live out scripture and see the miracle working hand of God in our own lives and other’s lives in Jesus Name.

If you read Acts 10, Youll see the point is Peter realises that salvation is for the gentiles as well as the Jews. "But in every nation whoever fears Him, and works righteousness is accepted by him". And a little after Acts 10:38, verse 42, "He commanded us (the disciples) to preach to the people, that it is He who was ordained by God to be the Judge of the living, and the dead. To him, all the prophets witness that, THROUGH HIS NAME, WHOEVER BELEIVES IN HIM WILL RECEIVE REMISSION OF SINS".
Thats the whole point... We gentiles receive the remission of sin through belief in him, praise God!
Anywho.. read acts for yourself. Ive listened to it a few times a week for a few weeks and its just not what this man is explaining, Im sorry if that hurts some of your feelings. I think what will hurt more is if our glorious Father judges these teachers harshly who are misspeaking about him.
If we were to have all this power, would the prophets not have prophesied about that? What was prophesied was that us gentiles would receive salvation and forgiveness for our sins, which is just not good enough for many people these days. Its good enough for me!
I only need to proclaim the goodness of our Lord. I will speak of his righteousness as David did. I will proclaim his good works. I will tell of his Mercy, and his forgiveness.
    Amen.

Amen Jeff, My husband was diagnosed with cancer & one of my friends (who buys into this teaching) has totally been unable to even say the word cancer. All she can do is ask how I need prayer at this point in my journey. She has not asked me how my husband is doing with his treatments, not once! She acts like everything is normal & nothing is happening because in her mind I think she’s afraid to say the wrong thing. It’s new age thinking. She has been horrible & we’ve been friends a long time. What a sad sad teaching that hurts so many people. I can’t have a normal conversation with this lady because of this. My husband is doing great & has so much faith. Our prayer is for healing of course but mostly that our lives would bring glory to God during this trial.

KL Hey there! Thanks so much for writing! I read your message to my wife and employee here in my shop, and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers! May the lord give you and your husband rich peace and refreshing during this time, and be encouraged to speak his word boldly to your friends! We know that going through trials does not mean you are in the wrong, but the opposite. Not saying cancer is from the lord, but we know we will face all sorts of trials in this life. And if we persevere and hold fast to the first love we had we will be richly welcomed into heaven where we will spend eternity praise God! Be encouraged today sister! Love your brother in Christ, Jeff.

What about when Jesus experienced hematohidrosis while praying in the garden of Gethsemane before his crucification - Bloody sweating is called hematohidrosis; true hematohidrosis occur in bleeding disorders. It may occur in individuals suffering from extreme levels of stress. Around the sweat glands, there are multiple blood vessels in a net-like form, which constrict under the pressure of great stress.

***There is a Crown in Heaven awaiting ll who faithfully share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a soul is saved. ( "JESUS SAVES" below) 1 Thessalonians chapter 2:verse 19-20; Philippians chapter 4:verse 1. So too be Rapture ready to meet Jesus Christ in the air. "Maranatha!" meaning "HE COMES". Mark chapter 13: verses 33-37. The Apostles and saints greeted one another that way! Proofs:John chapter 14: verse 1-3; Titus chapter 2:verses 11 -14; Rev.chapter 3:verse 10; 1 Thessalonians chapter 5:verse 9. This beautiful crown awaits us. 1 Peter chapter 5: verse 4; 2 Timothy chapter 4:verse 8.
This praise resounds across the earth: "Jesus is Lord and only He saves".
2 Samuel chapter 22: Verse 50 "Therefore I will praise you, O Lord, out of the countries, and I will praise your name."
    ***JESUS SAVES!
God the Son (Jesus Christ) has given us the gospel to share with the world.
Mark chapter 16: Verse 15: And He said unto them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
How can anyone hear the "good" news? Romans chapter 10: verse 17 Then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Isaiah chapter 7: verse 14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name Immanuel." Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal; body mutilated; blood poured out, finally died and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day ! "HE IS RISEN" Matthew chapter 28: verse 6.
Isaiah chapter 53: verse 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. - IT IS FOUNDED UPON GOD'S LOVE FOR MAN AND WOMAN HE CREATED
John chapter 3: Verse 16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans chapter 3: verse 23
" For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans chapter 6: verse 23
" Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.."John chapter 14.verse 6
"1 Corinthians chapter 15: verse 3 "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
THE PAYMENT BY HIS BLOOD FOR ALL SINS EVER!
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John chapter 2: verse 2
Romans chapter 5:verse 8 But God demonstrates his love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, now justified by his blood, we will be saved from wrath through him."
“For he (God) hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2 Corinthians chapter 5:verse 21.
" In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;." Ephesians chapter 1:verse 7
Matthew chapter 26:verse 28 "For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (the life is in the blood. He had to pay with His life)
"And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." Hebrews chapter 9:verse 22
BY GOD'S GRACE ALONE THROUGH FAITH ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST ARE WE SAVED
Ephesians chapter 2:verse 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast.
Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Because of Jesus' death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting in His death and in the shedding of His blood as payment for our sins, as well as in His burial and resurrection from the dead on the third day, and we will be saved! John chapter 20: verses 24-31
WHOSOEVER BELIEVES SHALL TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH
    Romans 10:
9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart man believes in righteousness; And a confession by mouth is given for salvation.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
TO DIE IS TO REJECT SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST AND BE SEPARATE FROM GOD FOREVERMORE
Salvation and forgiveness of sins is the blessing of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are sealed (permanently!) by God the Holy Spirit: Ephesians chapter 1 verse 13-14. Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John chapter 3: verse 16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". Revelation chapter 21: verse 8.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. ”Romans chapter 5:verse 1

I have heard this healing is always God's will theology many times. However there are Scriptures that make it very clear that it is otherwise . And thus far no one who espouses your teaching has been able to adequately explain how these Scriptures fit with it always being God's will to heal .
You did not explain how or why Jesus only healed the one man at the pool at Bethesda ( John 5:2-9).The Scriptures say there was a multitude there why didn't the Lord heal them all?
Neither did you explain if it is always God's will to heal why He would discipline a portion of the Corinthians with illness and death?
    Paul's thorn in the flesh. ( 2 Cor.12:7-9)
Paul's counsel to Timothy to drink wine as a remedy. 1Tim 5:23. Why didn't Timothy just believe God for his healing or call for Paul or others to perform his healing if indeed it is always God's will to heal.
Paul left his companion Trophimus the Ephesian sick at Miletus. Again if it is always God's will to heal why didn't Paul just believe God for Trophimus ' healing?
Please offer us all a clear Bibical response with how these Scriptures are congruent with your " it's always God's will to heal" teaching.

    • @BillJohnsonMinistries
      @BillJohnsonMinistries  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

My conviction for Jesus wanting to heal is not based on experience - not mine, nor Paul's, nor Timothy or Trophimus. It is based on Jesus, His teaching, and His practice. Jesus healed everyone who came to Him. He healed everyone the Father directed Him to. You build a case for lack. I refuse to do so.
