I remember it being mentioned way back in the days of yore that Wizard was going to be one of two classes capable of teleporting their group long distances. I hope this is still the plan, and if so I wonder when that will come in to play.
Question for you, do you find that you run out of focus in group play? Even when managing the CDs and proper play it seems there is A L O T more down time than other DPS classes
So you can create a floating familiar of fire at 11; yet takes another 9 levels to make the same thing for a light source?? Why did anyone think that was fine?!
spell effects are very well done. not over the top so the target is not engulfed in a crazy amount of glitter vomit. but they still look distinctive and cool. one thing i hate about modern MMOs is that you cant even see the target after your group or raid is casting all over it; all the tells and animations are just lost under the crayon box. In EQ you could judge and appreciate the combat just by the visual effects. And even more so in Pantheon. think theyre nailing it with the combat effects so far. Now lets get some more animation polish (and variation) in there and the game will really start to fly.
why are all you guys playing this game, its going to have tons of wipes and you have to pay to alpha test a game you will have to pay for when it really launches?
1. It has minimal wipes through EA (2 years) 2. Its fun to play. I play on EQ TLPs where I restart anyway. I dont mind. 3. You dont have to buy the game again? Your EQ purchase or pledge is the full game at launch. 4. Testing helps get the game out quicker and I get to experience the game longer. For me its more that worth it.
Hmmm I guess their class website is completely outdated. What an fing shit show and they just put out a steam trailer. Well thx for this I guess. What are the consequences you mentioned?
Most classes are in flux and being updated for EA (skills to 40)... Wizards can kill themselves if they don't manage their charges. I do that on the rabbit kill for an example.
Not really considered the Wizard before but have to say, it looks awesome!
They are glass cannons but my god can they do DMG! LOL
Great high quality video, pacing is perfect and very informative. Wish you a successful TH-cam career 😊
Actually came in here to say exactly this. Pacing is spot on! Clear examples as you go. Excellent.
Top notch videos man! Liked and subscribed. All the best with your YT career. 🚀
I appreciate it!
Thanks for the video! No clue what I'll play still but this is very informative and helpful

Ports are coming! Same with Druid...
@@arthaxunleashed I'm not going to lie, that makes me incredibly happy. A cool class with a skill I can monetize.
Do they have a proper barrier spell? If not hope they get one later.
They do not. However it's still early. They do have some tricks up there sleeves though!!
@@arthaxunleashed Yeah, will be cool to see how they develop.

Not in my experience. I try not to empty out and reserve some for CC.

They are completely revamping lighting items. Mage light was a lot lower earlier in the year. Hopefully great changes to lighting options coming.
I have a friend who will complain at how squishy wizards seem.
They are but they are glass cannons. Massive damage!!

I said the exact same thing. They are clean simple but impactful. Things like this can be TOO much really quick especially during raids etc!
those are great visual effects for 1999, i completely agree
Enjoying these videos, maybe reconsider the music altogether or at least the volume. It's super repetitive and very distracting.
I appreciate the feedback!
Are you telling me that I won't be able to spam arcane missiles? Ooops, wrong game. 8)
LOL!
Well you wouldn't do that in the 'wrong game', either.
Lolol
I fucking love the cast times. THank god we are done with the action combat nonsense and have to put thought into something for once.
100%!!!
Is that the max amount of abilities you can have though? hotbar looks kind small.. and not very artistic.. but more importantly small
YEP! you might have to swap during certain situations
Wsit til my girl hears ill be able to increase penetration by 10%
LMAO!!!
so there is no fizzling and being interrupted while casting in this game anymore?
they changed stuff from the way it worked in EQ??? Blasphemy!!!
@@kearseymorton2078 no fizzles only reduction/nullified effect if low skill. You can be interrupted if you move, get stunned, silenced etc.

The backfire mechanic is absolutely terrible.
The price you pay for being the #1 DPS in the game. Cant just spam fireball ;)
@@arthaxunleashed Theoretically you could with a healer. Early on you don't even have a fire spell to weave. This would probably help.
