Absolutely loved this episode. L'Artisan used to be one of my favorite fragrance houses. I literally had everything from them, then foolishly sold it all off. The Bucoliques de Provence sounds lovely. I adore a good lavander scent.
It's a great fragrance house and they have their hits and misses like everyone but there are more hits than most - and definitely something for everyone. Would love to feature some of their other scents in the future, too.
I just discovered your channel. Thank you for sharing your knowledge! L'artisan is my favorite house. You two are so in sync with each other, and I think I loved your personalities the most. Thank you again.
Betsy Woolbright aw! Thank you! :) L'Artisan is a lovely fragrance house and both of us have our favourites from it - it's a place where Nick did some work as well so he has an intimate knowledge of the scents. So glad you found our little channel and come see us every Friday!
Hehee! L'Artisan was really the first 'niche brand' and there are many standout scents in the collection. Some are just pleasant fragrances and some are really special.
I'm really enjoying these videos! I now recite the opening line along with y'all. L'Artisan is a big hole in my fragrance experience, but now they're on my sample-ordering list, especially Timbuktu! So glad amber in perfume is not buggy.
Thanks Caryl! Glad you're enjoying the videos - and also glad that you're sampling the fragrances! Tell us what you think when you get round to ordering the samples!!
Great videos! And although I'm not crazy about the new bottles, every time they change, they throw a MASSIVE sale to clear out the old stock. A great time to buy back-up bottles! I really think you two should recreate one of those cheesy commercials from the 70's of the two of you runnng thru a meadow towards each other in slo-mo. Singing the hills are alive, of course!!
Ahaha! :D Thanks, Robert, and you're right - any kind of packaging revamp always means there are bargains to be had, so now is a great time to be on the lookout for L'Artisans for a song.
Thank you for the wonderful overview of L'Artisan perfumes. I've always wanted to hear more about this range, especially La Chasse aux Papillons! You described it so beautifully, it sounds like one I would like. And speaking of Jean Claude, how would you compare Timbuktu to Terre d'Hermes?
Bonnie M thank you :) they share some themes but Terre is more suave; transparent. The EdT is the definitive version (the EdP is a slightly differently balanced scent).
Thanks a lot for the great review, yesterday I got “ Nuit de Tubéreuse” I love it so much it’s so beautiful🧡 Can I ask you which fragrance is your favorite from l’artisan Parfumeur?
I will not buy Timbuktu, if it reminds of Dior Homme Intense. I would rather buy Vetiver Sacre L'artisan, or some other semi-citrusy, semi-herbal scent by this brand, cause they are so good at making natural smelling, green scents. I would like to know, which L'artisan fragrance is strong and attention grabbing?
Strong and attention grabbing? Mure et Musc Extreme, Nuit de Tubereuse, Mon Numero 10, Dzongkha, Noir Exquis, Patchouli Patch, Piment Brulant, Rappelle-Toi, Seville a L'aube will all catch attention :)

I don't have access to L'Artisan's fragrances and I've never tried them. Now I need them in my life thanks to Nick's descriptions.

I want Bucolique and Timbuktu, as well as Eric's floral shirt.
Eric?

very nice. I do like L'Eau d'Ambre, Premier Figuier, Timbuktu very much ... :)
They have many very distinctive scents in the range - which can't be said about all brands.

Awesome vid my dears.
Thank you! :)
Is d'ambre powdery?
Yes, a little!
Thanks.

Thank you very much. Besides, which one of them is green and earthy?
Probably Dzongkha which has a vegetal note and earthy-orris effect. Patchouli Patch also quite earthy and Piment Brulant has an unexpected green-note.
Wow, very interesting ... I'll try it
Fou D'absinthe!
