Carlos Alcaraz is the definition of "Just Built Different"
    Strength of a 6'8 guy
    Speed of a 5'9 guy
Endurance, mental fortitude and pain tolerance of a soldier
    IQ of a chess prodigy
    Technique like a flawless machine
All of the Big 3 had some weakness in each of their game, Alcaraz has almost all their strengths, none of their weaknesses and has far more power on top, he's the first player ive seen that frankly if he's healthy and focused he SHOULD NOT lose to anybody.

I disagree. Zverev is just as good as alcaraz except zverev clearly has a mental block in critical moments. Sinner and zverev can beat him any given match. You realize he didnt win any titles for almost a year after his wimbeldon win? He is beatable in many ways as talented as he is.

@epicgurus2287 he was in a slump no denying that, but I was talking about him at his best, his loss to Medvedev at US Daniel straight up said "I had to play better than my best, better than when I beat Djokovic to even have a chance" he also has been struggling with a arm I injury for alot of months.

@@epicgurus2287 I've been watching Alcaraz since before he won the US Open.
The 8-month slump after Wimbledon was because his older GF, Ana Mena, broke up with him since she couldn't handle his fame. Now they are back together and see each other when time permits.
Zverev had beaten him during his slump early this year, but if Alcaraz keeps his current form, Zverev will never be able to beat him again unless Alcaraz allows it.
The only person who can beat him now is Sinner, the only one who challenges him.

zverev went into the 4th set with a 2-1 lead, then immediately got nervous and went off at his team. he could have won the match in 4 but got taken to a 5th. while the break would've given him a lead, his history in big moments (this match included) doesn't instill confidence in him consolidating that break

People who are saying Zverev was robbed are lying to themselves and pretending that this sort of thing has never happened before. Zverev lost the match because of his mentality, plain and simple. The call was a replay point, not a point awarded, and Zverev had more break opportunities in that game alone. If he had that champion’s mentality, he wouldn’t have let that get to him as much as it did. He could’ve taken any of those other break points or tried again in the remaining games of the match. Easy for me to say I know, but this sort of thing separates the coulds from the champions.

    • @Alboravin
      @Alboravin 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Exactly, this is the correct answer. The whole 'robbed' hot take is massively overblown. Besides, Hawkeye can be notoriously inaccurate on clay, more so than on other surfaces because of its dynamic nature. 2mm is well within the margins of error for the rudimentary and not fully calibrated Hawkeye setup that most clay tournaments have in every match, which includes this RG final. At that point, an experienced umpire may actually be more accurate/correct than a very basic/uncalibrated Hawkeye setup.

Players hit harder, they move faster, they serve better, etc. Also, both John McEnroe and Boris Becker (legends) said that Alcaraz plays better at 21 than any of the Big 3 when they were 21. And don't forget that last year after the Wimbledon final, Djokovic stated that he had never faced a player so complete as Alcaraz - and he was barely 20 then. So just quit living the past and embrace the fact that players like Alcaraz or Sinner are dope af and can become legends too.

The new big three is Alcaraz, Sinner, & Medvedev, with Zverev right there and Tsitsipas on the cusp as well! Alcaraz is the top guy for me of the three for me. It is pretty crazy how soon he got the three different majors! Hopefully he sharpens his game so that he wins AUS open in January to be the youngest player to win all four majors!
He has a higher ceiling than all the others imo. I like Sinner too! Djokovic I don’t think can be healthy enough to win another major. I think the level finally has gotten too high and his level has gotten too low due to being too old to handle it. I think he’s done winning majors, I think the New big three Era has arrived!

Nobody cheated. Neither player (or the umpire for that matter) had access to Hawkeye, so they were just going off a mark, which can be quite misleading and hard to read. It was most likely just a mistake that acts as further proof (as if we needed any more) that we NEED electronic line calls on clay. Doubt ruins sport.

“…And from then on, there could be only one winner,” is an overly emotional statement. Sure, a 2:2 score might have shifted momentum, but given Zverev's four missed break points at 2:1, it's likely Alcaraz would have still won. This video analysis, however, suggests that Alcaraz won the deciding set due to a controversial mistake made by the umpire. Drawing such narratives weakens the analysis.

Thats because he had a lot of points to defend from 2023 which he was unable to do so despite doing better in the French Open (he missed Barcelona and list in the QF at Madrid) so he wasn't in the contention, whereas Sinner had alot less compared to him and Novak putting him in contention (and was pretty much guaranteed if Novak failed to defend his title) for the top spot.

Even if he won every match in straight sets at RG he couldn't have achieved #1. All that matters is how they finish each tournament compared to the previous year. Sinner was guaranteed to be #1 as soon as Djokovic wasn't able to defend his title.
