walking around japan is a wonderful and fascinating way to lose weight. so I combine watching your video with walking on treadmill, imagining I'm walking with you visiting amazing places
This brings back memories. I went there 4 years ago, I heartily recommend a visit for anyone who likes the look of it. The place were it is set, Nikko, is such a pretty part of the world.
At 27:35, haha you were waiting for them to get surprised and scared by that old man figure. If I'm not wrong, the woman was saying in Japanese something like "You were were waiting for me (to get scared) aren't you haha . You were definitely waiting for me to get scared."
@@Rambalac haha I was a bit surprised too when the camera turns and suddenly shows a old man figure down there. Thanks for filming this! It's nice to see how edo wonderland is like.
I remember a guy who taught ninjutsu in the eighties, when it was a craze in the US. I believe his name was Hatsumi Masaki, or it could be Matsumi Hasaki…
Isn't this the place that has the courtesan's walk? I saw a video of that somewhere, I always wondered what they chant as the procession marches through.
I’d love to live in that little village in its era :) Looks like a happy vibrant busy community ! And so clean :) No garbage anywhere ! Except trashy tourists ;) lol jk ;)
That's called "Nankin Tamasudare" (南京玉すだれ) If you search 南京玉すだれ you'll find many videos, but first I recommend th-cam.com/video/6buS1i0g1CA/w-d-xo.html where a beginner learns the basics.
edo wonderland - japan deserves better than this. terrible the edo era is one of the greatest periods in japanese history. to allow it to be represented by a low quality commercial operation such as the edo wonderland does a great disservice to japan. the government shd fund a project to create an authentic edo village and remove modern commercialisation from the process. if there is a need for cafes and shops, these should be outside the heritage area. visitors should be required to wear edo period clothing for their visit which wd be provided free to borrow at the gate. roads wd be authentic stone and not modern tarmac. there wd be no massive open and pointless tarmaced spaces between buildings. villages arent like that. there wd be no modern posters. the toilets wd be concealed. there wd be people doing carpentry and metalwork. there wd be performers but not on a modern stage. heritage buildings wd not be empty. there wd be people in them working at something useful and practical in period clothes with period tools. an artist painting, a tailor etc these wd be real jobs., the products wd be for sale and subsidised if need be. there wd be gardeners and rice farmers. no animals of any kind however. this is still the modern day and we do not exploit or harm animals. this wd be the great edo reconstruction, something to make japan happy about itself
