That’s an amazing garage sale. The best purchase I ever made was when I paid $5 for a clothing item that was still on the website for over $6k. Im sure that was a once in a lifetime find.
The massive sales don't come along often, Once I bought a box of specialist engineering software for $17.50 parted it all out and sold it for more than 5k and still have some of it left 5 years later.
I watched a yt video of a resale guy in Adelaide last week. He went to a market, there was a couple who were reconditioning VHS tapes. Sorry it was a totally random on my feed and ddid not catch what channel it was.
Matt, your videos are awesome! Q: have you ever considered filming with an action cam, like on your chest probably? It looks so hard doing everything one handed!
@@TheAussieFlipperyou certainly have! You have a claw/tripod hand vice for the phone lol. Plus you’re good at handling stuff one handed haha. Keep up the good work mate!
I think if you focus more on finding commercial alliances it will have a higher reselling price especially those used in the kitchen. hope allah reward you❤❤ peace from egypt
How often would you recommend me that I thrift? If that many times a week, how often should I visit them? Should I visit them as a group/cluster? For example, you go to four different parts of the Gold Coast for finding your goods to resell.
Never feel guilty for paying the price someone asks. Most people just want the stuff gone and would never mess with reselling it on line. You don’t negotiate them down even lower which is respectful.
Great scores! The guy saying oh I donate to daycares lol yeah buddy nice story 😂😂😂😂😂 as if he’s giving kids that can’t read 1st edition Simpson books 😂😂😂
I'm a bit baffled at some of these comments saying Matt was taking advantage of these people. Did we watch the same video? He paid what was asked. I didn't see any lower counter offer or negotiation? How is its Matt's fault he paid asking price of $1 for games that can sell for $50+??? I assume that with a collection like this, the sellers knew what their items were worth. Maybe they needed to sell them off quickly. Who knows. So much nastiness that really isn't warranted. 😢 As for the VHS tape that is mouldy, if you know how to remove the cover, you can clean them, but it's time consuming and fiddly. And it's very easy to damage the tape. Make sure you wear gloves and a mask, and do it outside. It can also wreck a VHS machine if all traces are not removed. I've cleaned a couple of tapes successfully but they were old family tapes. You did miss a few good items tho. Vintage barbie items in boxes, especially furniture sets, can go for big $s.
@BeefyTacoCS sorry I disagree. Matt didn't set the prices. The people having the sale did. Why should he give them more than they asked? It's not up to a buyer to educate a seller. If you wish to give people more than their asking price when you buy something, that is your choice. But just because others don't, it doesn't make them greedy or scummy. No need to get so personal. Eat a snickers!

Wow!
I’ve often run those vhs tapes through the fast forward and rewind cycle and they seem to work ok, probably depends on the amount of mould.
Some of us VHS Collectors know how to clean them up. Just need to state it has mold and a picture of it. I think it would clean up ok.
Halloween III will clean up Beautiful , if your going to take the Cassette apart and do it properly 👍
Exceptional collectors, they seem to know what has value. Feel bad for them that they are needing to sell quickly.
@@BeefyTacoCS up to the seller to know their prices, plenty of sources available to them, some people don’t want the hassle and want quick sales
@@BeefyTacoCS You seem to be jealous more than anything mate
beefy stop being so jealous you seem to be the odd one out constantly having to try pull people down. This is a heavy reflection on yourself.

Who would’ve thought the sequel would be as good as the original?! 🤯 Nice Simpsons pick-ups 😉
I know right!!!
That $200 box was easily 500 worth of consoles with that ps4 pro in there
That poor guy got $20 , he was his own worst enemy
there is suppose to be a way to clean the mold - i ran into the same on cassette tapes - had a byer tell me but I haven't figured it out yet

another great vid! Btw it’s “SAY-GA” not “SEE-GA” 😂 cheers Matt 👊🏽
Another great haul. ❤😊
If you invest in a go pro and strap it to your chest, it would free up your hands so you can scavenge more easily!
I like the iPhone hold :)
@@TheAussieFlipper sorry, it was just a suggestion. Whatever works for you!!! 😀Great haul once again!
A lot of great audio gear left on the table. 🤔

What's the deal with this family, how do they have so much stuff to sell and for such little money.
They should have sold some of it themselves

yeah i know, feel bad for the younger guy, he's getting like 10% of what his stuff is worth.
