Nick Aldis nailed it on the head in describing what is missing in professional wrestling - not just in WWE, but in wrestling as a whole. In his role in NWA, he has brought back that prizefighter feel to being a world champion and bringing that mentality to the NWA...making the viewer/fan/spectator feel that they're invested in their favorite wrestler/most hated heel and enjoying the proverbial ride in whatever exploits come in their journey to becoming a champion - the ups and downs, the rivalries that are created, and (ultimately) that ultimate battle for a championship belt. Yes, story lines are important - it helps us in getting invested in a particular wrestler/tag team/faction - but if you don't give it the proper care and treatment, interest is lost, and you end up with the generic type product you see in (many instances) most of professional wrestling nowadays. This also goes for the on-air talent as well...for while the wrestlers are a large part of this equation, it takes many others to help we the fans become invested in the product. Thank you, Nick Aldis, for pointing this out so well - not just in this interview - but in and out of the squared circle. #nationaltreasure #tenpoundsofgold

I was born in 1970 & I was a BIG FAN of the NWA in the 80s. I'm LOVING that the NWA is back & since NICK ALDIS is trying to bring PRESTIGE back to SWEET CHARLOTTE "10LBS OF GOLD" he's an "AMERICAN BOY" to me. Thanks NICK & BILLY for bringing back "RASSLIN" & a piece of "MY YOUTH" back. Because I mostly watch more NWA videos from the 80s & the NEW NWA on TH-cam, than I do PRESENT WRESTLING!

Thanks for this interview. Been a fan of Nick since his British Invasion days in TNA.
Great interview of Nick...been waiting for this to happen for a while...Chris can't wait to see who else you interviewed at Hard Times!!! CVV AND NWA =🔥🔥🔥
Nicks is bringing class & new life into the NWA again...& NWA helped breathe new life into Nick Aldis! So happy to get to watch NWA POWERRR💥 every Tuesday night!
🔥🤼♂️🔥
Great stuff as always, Chris. You're awesome.
Best Champ in the biz the day, smooth and eloquent operator on the mic, I enjoy watching the national treasure cut a promo
Amazing as always. Aldis is one of those guys i though they have potential, but never had the chance to reach it. Thankfully, Corgan revived NWA and gave him the chance to do what he can and you can see the results.
Nick looking like a boss and representing our country in style , great interview as always chris , keep up the sweet work.
Carter, We are Honored to have Him as the World Heavyweight Champion!!!
All the Best Friend
This dude's the real deal...student of the game and we'll rounded individual. I enjoy where he's taken wrestling in general and give much respect for the work he's put in.
As a fellow brit ive followed Nick for many years I even watched him on Gladiators! Ive had the pleasure of meeting him a few times and hes always been great. I stand by my statement that he is a 'Cena level' guy and one of the very best in the business. Looking forward to seeing him and the NWA grow even more! Great interview as always CVV!
Aldis twiddling the nips on the title while he talks at around 25 mins was a can't look away but also trying to close out moment.
Amazing Interview Chris. Big Fan Of The Real Worlds Champion, Mr Nick Aldis
CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH! My reminder is SET!
Congratulations Chris Van Vilet your amazing with your interviews 🎊🎉🎈🎈🎉
He's so well spoken
I love that CVV spoke to the size difference between. i had the same thought.
This man is a class act, not only is he a great professional wrestler but the way he carries the championship and always dresses in a three piece suit and just blends old school with a new school flare you just can't help but root for this guy. I'm glad the NWA is back at this level and the future is bright.
He reminds me of a younger steve regal his mannerisms and his promos and wrestling style i love British wrestling
Not as naturally gifted as regal but he is certainly a quality performer, he has lifted the prestige of that title now though
What country u from??british indy scene is incredibly hot right now
He's a good wrestler, extremely talented, but nowhere as brutal as Regal could be when he wanted to lay them in
Another great interview
So WWE wouldn’t sign him cause Cena felt he was to much competition to himself & used his previous relationship with Mickie as a excuse
Kyle Bushnell wouldn’t have been utilized correctly anyways
I think Aldis is buddies with bad news Bennet
raymund usi both British. May of come up together
I liked Aldis a hell of a lot BEFORE watching this... and if anything, my admiration has increased.
I LOVE how he gives credit across the board.
Also... "I'm all in."
Me too, Nick, me too.
