This is the most useful neck tutorial I've found!!! I think the reason why I gave up on making my own suit a while back was because I couldn't figure the neck out. Glad to know that there's an easier way to do it!!
My husband is working on a full Protogen for his first ever suit and this is helping him immensely with the neck part! Thank you for making this video! I told him that he is on his own for how to get the neck to attach to the head base, since it is a 3D print out of plastic. Wonderful tutorial!
This neck tutorial was literally the best!! It’s my first neck and it’s so easy I can’t believe it!, I am def using this for all my upcoming suits! THANK YOU U SAVED MY BEGINNER BUTT
Ok. This is hecking AWSOME ! i actually learned something! All of the other neck tutorials here on TH-cam is so confusing but your video is really simple thank you so much for sharing! And seing how you make my siut makes me so happy! Made with love !
This is awesome. It doesnt appead you are uploading at this point (understandable i uploaded a few times and stopped like...3 times now) but man id love a head tutorial thats that beautiful without involving a dummy head
Definitely adding to my playlist of tutorials. Also that head you were wearing at the start is now one of my favorite fursuit heads I've seen, it is so cute!
great video! This whole time I've been trying to find a good tutorial that doesn't involve a mannequin head and now there finally is one! What I tend to do is a different strategy that seems to work just as well as this one but I will have to try out this strategy on my next suit to see if it fits any better!
Saves me the hassle of cutting and guessing (which consumed wayy too much fur) and it doesn't even take all that much time! Thank you so much!! Got my suit done in time for a con.
“Woo it’s almost done manikin head starts going nuts” 😂 Love this vid this is the easiest one that I have every found!!! Amazing can’t wait to make the neck for my fursuit!
I know this tutorial was made a year ago but I have to say this was the best neck tutorial i've seen on youtube so far! I'm so glad I stumbled upon this 😅
Thanks for a end to end tutorial on neck/cowell construction. I have been making my first fursuit head since last January 2020, and I stopped in December because I got stuck at making a neck with no model. This looks like a really good place to start, and I feel like I can actually get started on finishing my fursuit head.
This tutorial definitely saved me! I’m currently working on a head for a con that’s in a few days and I’ve never made a head before and the neck was definitely intimidating, tack!! 💛
Holy carp! This was so helpful! I’m planning on making a mini partial, this summer, and this was helped me out a bit with an easy method. Thanks again!
Awesome tutorial! I struggled with necks for a long time when I was learning to make fursuit heads, I'm sure this will be extremely helpful for a lot of people :D
this is BY FAR the best neck tutorial to follow if you don’t own a manakin head with shoulders!! worked perfectly for me and will be using it again in the future!!
Ohhh thank you!!! I was looking for a neck tutorial for months! I don't have a good mannequin head so this is a life savior!!! Also, where are you from? You know... using CM and accent I'm Brazilian, and i'm happy that this is in CM, bc i don't understand how inches work, lol
ive come back to watch this tutorial a few times as i work on fursuits as this is the easiest way to make a neck and its helped so much! im hoping my next fursuit, a skullcat, will turn out just as amazing
this is genuinely the best neck tutorial I've seen so far! i always have trouble with necks but this looks like a really easy method and I will definitely be trying it!
Ok checking back in after using this technique… WHAT WITCHCRAFT IS THIS ! It worked perfect ! Looks so good ! Thank you ! Usually I either tape pattern or measure the circumference which never looks great .
Oh my gosh you're a life saver! Thank you so much! I don't have a mannequin head either, so I've been really struggling with the neck, and it's shape. I'm gonna try this when I make my ghost dog. Thanks for sharing! ♥︎
I’ve got to make a couple of cowls for some heads I made I usually end up with 8 pieces and a zipper to sew in . I’m going to try your method. Thanks !
You made an awesome video and did really well with it. Everything is shown and explained clearly. Was looking for a great video like this. Other videos on TH-cam didn't go with me well on how to make the neck so that it doesn't move when rotating your head around. I do have a question though. I bought my head as a wolf mask from Spirit Halloween and personalized it into my character. I am having issues with the neck as it comes out from being tucked in my shirt as I move it around. I don't really want to redue the neck but might your way if I have to. Anyway my idea is, would elastic around the inside of the neck work just as well as your idea?
Do you have any tips for using this method while using fleece? I am absolutely using this for my fursuit head but I have a second one in the works that's made of fleece, but I feel like the seams will be much more visible.
This is the most useful neck tutorial I've found!!! I think the reason why I gave up on making my own suit a while back was because I couldn't figure the neck out. Glad to know that there's an easier way to do it!!
I’m stuck on getting the head to even be wearable/comfortable… 👀
@@EeferbeefOh no😵💫
You have quite literally saved me from having to cover myself with tape thank you
Ok, I thought it will be like "easy" as for freakin' neck, cause they almost never work, but damn, this is the real easy, it's great!
Finally, a gift from the gods 🙏🙏🙏

For my last fursuit head I set my styrofoam head on a stack of books and made a duct tape pattern from that lol
Her acent remember-me of Stitch...
So cute :
Do you have any tips for using this method while using fleece? I am absolutely using this for my fursuit head but I have a second one in the works that's made of fleece, but I feel like the seams will be much more visible.
You could handstitch it with a ladder stitch. It will take a lot longer, but it will be easier to hide the seams.
i love the part were they mess with the manikin head 😂. but also yeah!! super underrated!!
hiya! have you got any tips on how to make the lining in the mouth look like a smile? ive been struggling to figure out how! thanks!
TYSM!!! i wanted to change my neck style bc sometimes my neck is too short ;-;
if my characters neck is one solid colour, do i still need to make two parts of it to sew together or can it be one long piece?
