Medical Assistant Program

Students study clinical duties including vital signs measurement, phlebotomy, echo cardiograms (ECGs/EKGs), laboratory procedures, and learn to exhibit communication skills necessary for effective patient interaction and education. Additionally, they apply administrative skills in managing medical records, billing, coding, and scheduling. Students are taught to understand and adhere to ethical and legal standards in healthcare practice while assisting healthcare providers during examinations and minor surgical procedures. By the end of the program graduates will display professionalism and compassion in patient care situations.
