It was 21, he had 10 and the A got him to 21. Him and the dealer were just joking because the A was the perfect 11 he needed to get to 21. You can hear the dealer say "21" after they joked about it

I noticed more losing if you take card after 12-16. So better stay even is 12 if the dealer is 17.
