THPS remake did exactly what it did to me back in 1999, introduced me to bands that I normally wouldn't have found on my own. Sedona has been in my head since I started playing.

I cannot believe the song is from only a year ago, it sounds like the quintessential early 2000s rock song.
I found this song recommended to me by a spotify playlist I made. Genuinely thought it would be like a 2001 era song and this is the first time I've searched for the music video on YT.

@Exodus N no this song is textbook pop punk, it’s a well established genre that never really died out, it just went under the radar in the mid 2000’s but has resurfaced
@Exodus N sounds to me like you associate pop punk with bands like Blink-182, Green Day is also pop punk and their songs aren’t nearly as fast paced. I personally do get a pretty heavy punk vibe from this song as well. Basically pop punk is a much more versatile genre than you give it credit for

Was just playing the amazing Tony hawks 1&2 Remastered and heard this song. Im a 43yrld and by the sound I was expecting to find a band from the 90’s that I had not heard before, very surprised it was a more recent track and it was teenagers singing it lol… really good stuff guys !!!

I saw these Guys open for ZZ Top at The Smart Financial Center last year. We had 3rd row seats so we saw them up-close. They played this song and my wife really dug it (yeah, I'm an old fart of 56). They also did a great rendition of Alice in Chains "Would". They didn't play under the "Junk Bunny" moniker, but they did have the bunny with the gas mask as a backdrop to their stage. They said they were gonna use the money from the ZZ Top gig to record their album. They should do well opening Buzzfest!

These young boys are very, very talented to have come up with a catchy, hooky song like this. It also fits right in with the rest of the soundtrack on the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 remake. Like, you would have expected it to be on the original soundtrack of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, it's that damn good. Seriously, the folks who picked the new songs actually did a damn good job of making sure they fit right in with the classics. Helps that the remake kicks serious ass, no matter what platform you play on.

It's so cool to see Tony Hawk's Pro Skater bringing people to new bands like this in 2020. Myself included, I was immediately hooked when I heard it in the game's playlist and MAN it's an absolute banger. This video is almost a year old, yet it somehow feels so nostalgic to listen to because of how 90s it sounds. Ah, it feels good.

Maybe this is obvious, but I always interpreted the song like this.
It's about a young slacker who is essentially a big man-child and is immature and never grows up. He has an unrequited crush on a female friend (possibly named Sedona) who decides to move to New York and get a life doing something worthwhile. The slacker loves his life and does not want to change, and doesn't understand why she would want to move on with her life. "She says that I get nowhere, I say I'm already there". After she already moved, he realizes how much he misses her, something that he never realized before and secretly never wanted her to move so he could finally tell her about his feelings towards her.
I dunno, that's just my interpretation.
