Love the style, bought one! unfortunately the zipper malufunctioned after a few months :( They have discontinued this model.. Any suggestions for a replacement?
I ordered as you guys suggested a size smaller than the Revit sizing guide suggests. You were right, it fits well the size down approach. The only worry is that when I extend my arms horizontally it does feel a slight pressure on the chest. I was wondering if this should be a cause of concern or it will give in, and be the perfect fit in time (as far as I understand (you guys stated it as well at some point) leather gives in a half a size in time) ? Another thing I noticed: the one I ordered has a little snap/tab at the bottom of the jacket's main zipper, but the one in your review it doesn't. I am wondering if it is an European edition versus the USA version (ie on a dutch review video looks the same as mine, with a tab)?
The jackets will stretch over time to accommodate your chest when your arms are outstretched. As for the snap/tab, the version in the video is a pre-production sample, so it's a pre-production vs. production difference, not a EU vs. US difference. -DrewZilla
I'm about 5'11.5, 180 lbs. I'm not sure my chest size but I'll say I'm not very muscular at all in the chest. Am I safe to order the 50 or should I get an accurate chest measurement?
2 questions, i tried this on in a store and am between a 50 & 52 sizing wise (42-43 chest)... without the liner and just wearing a t shirt the 50 fits but is tight behind the arms on a bike. the 52 is a bit looser but seems to have more room overall... Should I stick with a 52? Eventhough you guys said to size down?
Like the look of this jacket aswell as the ventilation it seems to have. Looks like a good 2-3 season jacket but what if it rains? (Let's say not stormy weather, but some rain). Is it waterproof? I assume not? Thanks for the answer!
It is not waterproof, and if air can make its way through the perforation, so can water. Wet leather can be heavy and take awhile to dry, as well. It is important to condition leather regularly if it gets wet. It is a great jacket, but it is not exactly meant for long stretches of rain. -TeamZilla Chris
I'm seriously considering getting this jacket, but I'm unsure about the size. I stand 5'11", have a 39-inch chest, 32-inch waist. I don't intend to wear the liner at all, but intend to add the Rev'it! back protector. What size would you recommend for me?
Hi there! I need an advice, want to buy a leather jacket for my boyfriend and don't know what to chose between this one and the alpinestars Brera airflow. Don't have budget, just wanna buy the best in this style. Thank you
Both offer good protection, and both are quite stylish. I might lean towards the Brera, though, as the shoulder gussets and waist expansion zips offer more range of motion and more accommodating fit. -DrewZilla
You really shouldn't ever be looking to buy a genuine leather jacket especially at this price point; look for full grain and top grain leather, RevZilla carries many full and top grain jackets. This website has a quick explanation of leather grades if you're interested: www.saddlebackleather.com/craftsmanship-chpt4-leather-101-lesson-in-leather. Just my two cents if you're going to invest in a leather jacket.
Hi Jason, you seem to know a thing or two about leather. Do you know if the Revit Akira Air Vintage is made from top grain or full grain leather? It is priced as a premium product. Thanks. ps. I read the article linked. Interesting.
Revzilla lists the Akira Air Vintage as using Pull-up cowhide leather (the jacket in this video uses pull-up buffalo hide), which to my knowledge is aniline leather that has been treated with a thin wax coat to protect it. All aniline leather is full grain. Also keep in mind the Akira Air Vintage has a CE level 2 rating which will also drive the price up compared to other CE level 1 jackets. Personally I wear a Revit Ignition 2 jacket for 3.5 seasons during the year and it uses a top grain leather that is buttery smooth and feels amazing. I can only imagine what Revit's pull-up leathers feel like. I think you'd be very happy with an Akira Air Vintage if you can nail the sizing right.
Yes, it's the correct size, as it is sized to his chest. This jacket just has slightly longer than average length arms. When his arms are outstretched in the riding position, the cuffs are at a good length. -DrewZilla
Thanks. I do realise that the perforations will make it cooler (I own a Dainese Spedio D-Dry jacket, and that works very effectively in hot weather with the perforated textile mesh parts). Having the liner in would get your body temp a bit better in cooler temperatures. I was actually wondering if layering under the thermal line with a ski-style thin thermal layer would get things a bit better (ie 40 Fahrenheit): we do get springs and autumns here most likely reaching those temperatures.
Juice is giving me some "Mr.steal-yo-girl" vibes because of the way he just peers into your soul through the camera, and that slight smirk...

For your chest size and how you've described the fit, I would go with size 52. -DrewZilla
Good question. Does the leather give and stretch a bit with time or does it stay true with age on this jacket?

For you, I recommend size 48. -DrewZilla

have a good day
I have this jacket, but I seem to have a dull suede look. Are there different versions of the same jacket, or do I need to polish mine or something?
There's just the version you have. This jacket is the same, you're just seeing more reflection from our studio lighting. -DrewZilla
I miss Anthony.
Don't worry, he's still here. Look for some new videos with Anthony to drop soon! -DrewZilla
Can i only combine this Jacket with other another Revit pants or are there other brands that have the same zipper?
This jacket uses REV'IT!'s short connection zipper, which is also compatible with Olympia, Tour Master, AGV Sport, Fieldsheer, and Rukka. -DrewZilla
Does anyone know the thickness of the buffalo leather on this jacket? Also is the leather genuine?
It's 1.2-1.4mm buffalo leather, and yes, it's genuine. -DrewZilla

It looks like its a bit long on the palms..Are you sure its the right size for him?
Yes, it's the correct size, as it is sized to his chest. This jacket just has slightly longer than average length arms. When his arms are outstretched in the riding position, the cuffs are at a good length. -DrewZilla
Do you know if the non air version will be available?
For now, only the Air version is available here in the US. REV'IT! has not said whether the non-Air version will come here. -DrewZilla
Hi, are the elbow and shoulder protections removable?
Yes, the elbow and shoulder armor is removable. -DrewZilla
What's the warmest this jacket could be worn in?
For most people, the upper limit would likely be about 85 degrees Fahrenheit or perhaps a bit higher in a drier climate. -DrewZilla
🤣 love the comments... JUICE ! 👍
How's the reflectivity, if any?
The Stewart Air does not have any reflectivity. Most vintage-looking leather jackets with perforation don't have any reflectivity. -DrewZilla
What would be roughly the lower temperature limit to this jacket ?
With the thermal liner in, the lower limit is about 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit depending on your own temperature tolerance. -DrewZilla
Much appreciated. I was hoping that it would go a bit further down with a thermal layer (like 40 Fahrenheit )
Though it has the thermal liner, the outer jacket's perforations do cut the effectiveness of the liner a bit. -DrewZilla

Layering under the thermal liner should help get you to 40F. -DrewZilla
