As I've said before, I work in excavation and use loaders every day. Keeping your bucket closer to the ground is essential to not flip your machine, also helps with traction to keep the weight down. Dont know if that'll help here, but watching you have the bucket up the entire time is killing me Drae lmao
I also work excavation and we always build haul roads with a dozer before we put our trucks on them lol. Those haul trucks can do alot, but makes everyone's job easier to have a road plugged in.
Drae, I'd suggest maybe making a sort of road up from the vein to the delivery point, with the dozer, where then you can drive the trucks up and down and perhaps not lose as much ore since the biggest problem is the incline of the mountain that you're trying to climb
I've not really told the other TH-camrs I see play this, but you should bulldoze a pit off to the side of each Dark Green Spot you find, put the Hopper in the hole with a conveyor or two going up to have it easier loading your dump truck. Also so you don't have to move the bucket that much, use the metal roofing on the side you don't want to use to load the hopper to make it like a funnel.
Your patience is astounding, Drae. This developer has a lot to learn about how Unity and it's physics and render engines work. It's good of you to be a willing "pre-alpha tester" while he learns.
Drae lower the bucket while traveling with a load and it lowers the center of gravity giving you better traction and stability. I love the series and can’t wait to see more
Drae is the simulator guy, being serious, trying not to play by breaking the game and spending hours to earn money while Real Civil Engineer on finding out that you can take multiple loans basically ending the demo in first episode 😅
No one shall ever surpass let's game it out though for absurd exploits and even more absurd conveyor lines, I still have PTSD from his satisfactory save file
It's always good to see a developer taking criticism and using it to improve their games, especially when they're in an early state like this, I know a few triple A games that don't do this
this game has huge potential and I think the dev should have a much larger dev team for it, and should set up something to fund the project to get more developers on it.
Start your conveyors with a hopper buried in the ground for easier loading then add conveyor at the exit adding more conveyors to get to your end point they will snap together if placed in order start to finish. Also looks like dump trucks can pull the trailers. As always I enjoy your videos. Keep ‘em coming.
From watching other youtubers I learned you could hit P to set the parking brake now and if you build a road an come across ground that doesn't want to be pushed by the dozer. Use the ripper on the back of the dozer to break the ground up first.
Definitely picking up this game. 🧡 the ore joke👌episode. Thank you Sah for the gameplay. To you and all, hope you have an excellent rest of the day, week, month, Year.
Dozers can make roads and rip up the ground with the ripper in the rear. Use the dozer to make roads and rip ground to me it easier to collect ore with excavator or loader. Roads are 🔑
I noticed that as you getting going faster the material in the dump truck actually acts as one and you’ll notice the whole group of it jiggles rather than small pieces falling out.
The game is looking alot smother than they last time I watched you play it, was thinking of getting this one myself, I play similar games as well. Great video man keep them coming love your vids.
The developer needs to add tailgates to the end dumps. I ran end dumps for a year and they had tailgates activated with the truck dumping. Definitely worth buying an attachment for it like you do with the tires or tracks
Idk if you will see this but I do driveways and excavation for a living. Most Dozers have what’s called a 6 way blade, you can rotate the pitch of the blade to either cut or move, you can alter the side to side angle, then the up and down. If possible you should cut a road going up the side of the hill using the dozer. Tilt the blade to the inner side of the hill, but you need ti go up the hill at a much more gradual slope rather than straight up or down. Kinda like a switch back road to keep the slope from being so steep. Also, if it was possible, top the road with gravel if it actually reduces slippage on the tires of the equipment. Def want to dive into this game here soon myself! Keep up the content!
Feel the material needs to have more mass so you dont constantly loose a bunch. Also that the articulated dump trucks need a tail gate so you dont loose 2/3rd of the material in the first 10 meters of going forward
This is the exact reason I don't play these types of games in early access or in general though I love the concept it's weird when you don't know what you're doing
I’m not an astronaut, or rocket appliances. (Trailer park boys reference). But you should use the dozer and make a road to it and then collect the material you get from that to sell as well.
Tip for you drae, the cabover is the best truck to transport with, you just need to build a road wich is smooth and not too steep, conveyors are useless for transport since they are so slow
All right I want to explain a little bit for you anytime since this game has it every time you start working you want to change your equipment to Turtle mode. The rabbit basically to go faster you that's good for travel but for when you're operating the Machinery you want to switch it to turtle one it restricts your top speed as it should but two it will also greatly increase the power of the vehicle
Drae you could try to use the bulldozer to make a road up the hill kinda curve it back and forth up the incline to make a smoother journey for yourself
just a thought with the hopper, can you dig a hole in the ground for the conveyor belt and maybe under the hopper for the dump truck to be loaded too? that would bring the height of it down and you could probably just doze a load off the top straight onto the conveyor
I haven't tried building a washplant yet, it was too expensive in the beginning, and now the game freezes for a few seconds anytime you spend/gain money, but placing floor pieces on the ground helps snap buildings. There's also much better lithium sources in the direction the quest was pointing. A smallish patch, then a massive one just a few metres away. It's pretty even with the dropoff point, so no hills to deal with if you bulldoze a road.
One idea is to build some type of ramp to load the truck, or conversely dig a little hole where the dump can stand bellow ground. Then, the movement with the bucket should be minimized.
The Gold Rush devs need to take a minute and watch some gameplay of this and reflect on the fact that out of the gate this games machines are actually able to traverse the terrain when in their game you can get a bulldozer stuck on a shovels worth of dirt on flat ground. 🤣 Im going to have to keep my eye on this title because i enjoyed Gold Rush but it felt really clunky physics wise with the vehicles. These type of games take me back to the days when i was a kid digging in the sandbox with my Tonka toys...
if you come out of the shop area and stand on the heli pad with your back to the store door, look straight across the valley and you should see one of the towers. right behind that Conex, there is a huge pocket of lithium behind it, and its easy to mine out. i have pulled about 4 million and i have barley scratched the surface. at least that's what my drilling results have shown. Also, if you put the gps on the road grader or on a dozer, you can see the angle of your blade cutting into the ground. this really help when cutting a new roads. I have about 70 hours into this game and love it. there are some bugs but it has a lot of potential. One more tip, when driving the rock trucks, if you drive in reverse, while delivering your ore, you don't loose your ore out the the back of the truck. I cant wait tell he gets that fixed.

Use the dozer to build a road to the ore, a excavator to dig your ore, a semi or moxie to haul ore. Your using your equipment backwards 😂. You may as well build a conveyer straight to the ore bin, you dig it sells.
Keep your bucket closer to the ground after taking a scoop to keep stability. The game has good quality when it comes to center of gravity and before you remove material use your ripper to soften up the ground. Just some things that will help you enjoy the realistic quality’s
Would be cool to see if you could dozer a road between the sites, if going from the top and the gravel being pushed would go over the edge and build upwards the making the road with the dozer will be easy piecy!
the convyers snap but def buggy u make more money by using all the parts to the system by braking it down to gravel when putting in stone which is mixed in wiyh other ores
Just some observational critiques since the developer seems to actually be paying attention to feedback. The loose material shouldn’t be bouncing around like it weighs nothing maybe have a different state when in a bucket or dump truck? Also the ground gets these huge peaks and valleys when you work with it making and sort of created easement a janky bouncy mess with zero traction. I have no idea how you would address this but it was a huge con to gold rush that none of the vehicles felt like they had any traction. And making your own roads seems rather important in this game. I recommend making roads to the main plant so terrain climbing is easier and later can put transports on that road.
the big reason why you are losing ore on the way up the hill is that you are supposed to make "roads" for yourself to use
I’m enjoying this series. The way the ground breaks apart is very intriguing.
I agree
