    Your final pot selection for your Dad's maple is going to blend very well with the leaf coloration. Great video. SoCal.

    You have a truly beautiful collection. I'm so bummed I wasn't able to visit your nursery while I was recently in Nottingham. I think it was some sort of holiday and you guys were closed. Hopefully I'll be able to come by again the next time I'm in the UK. Would love to meet you!

    Brother, I dig the use of power tools on the root ball! That was slick.
    I sure appreciate you posting on dissectum JM. Not a lot out there on this variety, so I soak up as much info and experience from others as I can.
    I dig what you’re all doing at Greenwood

    Hi, great video as always. I wanted to ask why some of the big surface roots that are curling around didn’t get removed. Wouldn’t it be better for the future aesthetic of the tree?

    Good to see you making videos again, I assumed this was just too busy a season for you to do them. Here in the mountains of western North Carolina we too have had an early spring with regular drops back below freezing every weekend. I lost all the foliage on the tridents I am ground growing a month ago when it dropped to 20 F one night, but the have just leafed out again just in time fir another night when it will go down to 30 F and we are seeing snow flurries today. I have been moving my newly repotted trees into the garage on freezing nights so my question is just how much of a freeze (1) tridents and japanese maples can take, and (2) how sensitive are roots to freezing temps after they are repotted? I generally move my big trees to the ground on freezing nights unless they have new leaves.

    Beautiful pot and a stunning tree , great video as always very professional. Looking forward to more coming through the summer hoping to learn a lot more , one question does washing the roots do any damage or can it rather?

    • @greenwoodbonsaistudio
      @greenwoodbonsaistudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      no, washing roots is quite kind, so often used on fine rooted trees like acer and azalea

    i remember the day his mum called harry out the bungalow to talk to him about doing a book.
    we called to buy some heathers corins mum was in a wooden shed back in the day and i mentioned i was a chef and we had a book ( practical catering ) its the basic book.but there is nothing for bonsai ..she said wait a min and called harry outside to speak to me and i explained there was nothing like that for bonsai..( here words were.. there you are harry )
    he seems unsure but asked me how the book was laid out so i explained.
    we carried on and bought some heathers and i looked round the bonsai..then we left..( corin/pauls mum seemed determined that he should do a book..) she was a lovely lady.
    ( this is not made up it actually happened )
