  • In this episode we go to some extreme measures to gain some more camber on the front wheels. This will set us up for future mods and to be able to go with a more extreme track setting down the road.
    Take a look and let me know what you think in the comments below!

    Hey found you’re channel from a 6g forum and it’s really awesome content. They have deburing tools that are cheap and do an awesome job without much risk of scratching anything else. Subscribed too

    Wow, this is killer! Definitely earned a sub for this! Can I possibly buy a 3D printed template from you please?

      Thank you for stopping by and subbing! Yes, I am in the process of developing a viable mass produced 3D printed part ad/or kit for those that want to do this with their cars. I'll definitely let you know when ready.

    Cool idea! You might want to get a touch up brush and put a little paint on the bare metal edge to prevent rust. Great video!

      You beat me to it. I sealed it with some black paint and found these really nice grommets for a nice finished touch. I just found the grommets after making the video though.

    It’s not crazy! I’m doing it in my MK7 GTI with a knockout hole punch! My coils have camber plates but I can’t get to them as easy as I’d like! I’ve video brother

    Oh shit you did it with the shocks on the car? I need to do this because my car has too small of a hole to adjust camber at all with coils without taking the shock down and adjusting, which is not viable at an alignment shop

    • @ToddMorrow
      @ToddMorrow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, It was faster and easier to do it like that. However be careful when you cut the hole and make sure to clean up all the shavings afterwards.

    Dude! you have a video on everything I want/need to do! Can I buy one of these templates from you?

    • @ToddMorrow
      @ToddMorrow  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey bud, I try to mix it up and thanks for noticing!
      So if you are looking to do this there are several options. I can email you a template, Steeda now offers a kit for a reasonable price and I was also planning on offering 3D printed templates to mail out for 1 car use. However the pandemic has changed that for me. I am still trying to find a way to get my 3D printer home. Hit me up at 2morrowdesign@gmail.com and we can discuss further.

    This is just what I was looking for lol where can I buy the metal thingy you used lol

      I drew it up in autocad and had a friend cut it with a water jet. This particular design is only good for about 3 cars. I have been toying around with the idea of coming up with another design that would last longer but the part cost itself would be much more expensive due to different manufacturing processes used.

    Not crazy at all. I just got done doing it on my 2015 CRV on coilovers. Couldn't use the whole range of adjustment or get 0ed out for factory numbers.

    Couldn't you just cut slits where the threads come up that way you could move it back and forth would that work without a camber plate?

    • @ToddMorrow
      @ToddMorrow  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could absolutely go that route and I've seen it done like that. However My OCD would trigger every time I saw that and I really like the clean look that resulted with this method.

    What size is the saw drill bit

    • @ToddMorrow
      @ToddMorrow  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe it was a 2.75 or 3”. The key is the cutting template. Getting a finishing rubber grommet really helps too

      I made it based upon measurements I took from the Shock towers.

    I think I would rather oblong drill the top hole in my strut where it bolts to the spindle instead of messing with the structure of the car by drilling out the strut mount in the body.

    • @ToddMorrow
      @ToddMorrow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't drill out the strut mount, just the top surface. You can still clearly see the strut mount in the pictures/video.
      Also with the kit I made a circle cut is cleaner than the oblong shape. When finished with rubber grommet it looks super professional.
      Everyone has their preference, what I did was mine.
