Just out of curiosity what's the most comfortable amount of plaster you can mix up and lay on in one go without it becoming the boss of you ?

Over gyproc I've never had to mix up more than 2.5 bags of multi for my first set over bonding I would prob say 1.5 bags is the most I would try going to try a 3 bag set at some point

How long do you leave it after it’s been sponged up to flattening in the sponge marks? Can’t get my head around it but have seen some decent work on site by others using this method.

I would say since I've been doing it this way which isn't long is I've been flattening sooner than later and all my sponge work so far has been in the winter season days so the rooms are pretty cold conditions if it's onto gyproc and the walls 15m2 I will flatten about 5 mins after I've sponged the whole wall I'm still sussing out the timing on this method same with when I sponge it I've been sponging sooner than later hope this helps to answere your question a bit 👍
