where from... your scaring me... this channel made me appreciate chinese music... i used to think it was old fashioned and boring and plinky plonky.. same with western classical.. but ive learnt to appreciate both now
yes, while playing guqin, we use our real nails. But the painful part is for the left hand. we use half nail half flesh to move along the strings, and our protection is callus...Honestly, it really hurts before we have callus on the fingers

@@yiming99 Got it, I wonder what the highest note is? Edit: It says that Guqin's range is nearly 4 octaves so if the lowest is a C2 then the highest is somewhere around a C6 I'm assuming.
